I like a good challenge sometimes, but not the whole game. There’s a place for both.

The problem with m+ is not just the difficulty or thr gear it drops. These dungeons are awful, tanking and healing are not fun as wel

I am clearing easy content. I am just Casual. I am doing fine. I am not that kind who plays this game like theres no tomorrow and complain later that I ran out of things to do.

Everyone I know is loving the new expansion, I’m seeing guilds return for it and really enjoying the content as well.
So no, there is not an ‘exodus of players’.

Not saying this season is perfect, but KSM is 1st week content for most real good players lol. If KSM is some sort of achievement for you, then you ARE casual.
But people whined about m0 being too easy. And tanks being too strong. So we got the tank and healer nerfs combined with the m+ changes and here we are. The demands on a player in a m+ has gone up (hence the sweaty) to the point people just don’t want to do them. I’m just farming +4s right now but it’s still need to gatekeep my teams to time a key. Still have to spend an hour to get into a group for the healer to leave at first wipe. It’s just a much sweatier atmosphere and it’s no surprise people are quitting.

I know I don’t but I’ve also never said I did. There may be more people like me playing than I’d originally thought.
Now I’m wondering how many of us are in the older age range.
I love grindy games. I started WoW in 2004. I am gen X.
All the activities you mention are just dreadful to even think about. M+ grinding keys is just like Diablo rifts. The gameplay loop of keys and awful dungeons is not fun. The world quests are few and far between. The zones feel empty. It doesn’t feel like a living breathing world inhabited by players. All the activity is behind menus and immersion breaking. Forcing yourself to do repetitive tasks to get an achievement that has no impact on your character is bad game design.
There are ways to make grinding fun and doing the same thing over and over for a higher key is not it.

Its because this exp is a boring buggy mess and delves are only able to hold peoples attention for so long.
Problem with delves is that they very VERY quickly become just a chore you do your check boxes.
In the first 2 weeks i got lucky and got full champ gear, i completely bypassed the need to do normal raids at this point, thats never happened this early.

Intended. Because they don’t want you doing anything but instanced content. They have successfully taken the world out of this game for the most part. After leveling anyways. Will it change in a future patch update, who knows? At this point it is starting to feel much like Wod 2.0 dungeon raid or die expansion. Oh, forgot delves scenarios dungeon raid or die lol. Think it’s kind of funny that they keep world in the title of the game tbh
