Why does alliance have such low Q numbers compared to horde in the LFG for arenas and rbgs? I have considered switching to alliance, but with no one to play with it makes the justification not there to do so. Is it because horde has better racials?
I think it’s just a path dependency thing.
Horde is from a roleplay perspective the ‘cooler’ faction for those PvP-inclined so more pvp’ers started out horde, and because it had a slightly higher player base it had better ques in LFG, causing more people to switch, and the cycle continues.
it started with horde having better racials, but then when they finally became somewhat equal everyone had already transfered horde so there was no point going back.
Racials have something to do with it. Though humans are awesome right now for PVP.
I switched from ally to horde back in TBC because ally were vastly incompetent in comparison and i got tired of dealing with them.
As a natural tendency you will find more people with a genuine pvp interest on the horde side.
ally racials are actually better for almost every spec
shamans gain a ton from horde though
horde racials have always been better in pve
troll racial is absurd and used to be even more absurd
belf used to be REALLY good in dungeon content
a majority of alliance raiding guilds went horde in mop -> wod
and almost all of them in the top 100 were horde in legion
even casuals will faction swap when the imbalance is so blatant the same way 1600 pvpers will swap factions based on their favorite streamers factions
this is emphasized by content like mythic + and heroic pugging being so much more outlined and constant vs xpacs like mop where outside of weekly caps there wasn’t really anything to do
