It’s an intended feature to all cross faction content since they released cross faction bruh.
Why do you keep giving them your money then? I wouldn’t pay a sub to a bad company.
blizzard have fulled released incomplete products before
See: D3, Warcraft Reforged, Shadowlands, etc rofl
I think they’re just doing blizzard things.
“Figure it out”?
This is it.
This is the extent you can do cross-faction in WoW. The faction barrier is hard-coded into the game at almost every level. You can work around it in instances because they’re their own little bubble universes, but outside of instances, just about everything is H- or A-tagged. And there’s no way around that without rewriting the game from scratch.
The only “problem” is that Blizzard caved in and agreed to “cross-faction” guilds when the game cannot deliver on that fully.
A lot of us have been telling people this for a long time, now. It’s just that nobody listened.
This is absolutely, 100%, what was expected. And it’s not going to change.
Entertainment company gets money for entertainment.
In this world it is literally impossible to not pay bad companies. Do you buy chicken to eat? Do you know what ppl do or how they are treated in chicken plants?
Stop white knighting. Your not on a high ground.
didn’t know you we’re a professional coder who has seen blizzard’s code… lol I’ve never heard them explicitly say this is the case and cannot be changed. but hey whatever, have a good day being angry online friendo
Yup, that’s exactly what people have been saying for a couple years, now, whenever this would come up, and I’ve explained that if cross-faction guilds DID happen, it would have so many restrictions because of how the game is built that nobody would be satisfied.
And, like you are now, lots of people kept saying I was wrong, and that it would happen.
It didn’t happen. Because I was 100% right. But sure, keep telling me I’m wrong. And then keep yelling “WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY?” when ol’ Brewa was telling you why long before it even happened.
Why would they do that when Guild Repairs and other Guild perks will be active for all members regardless of faction.
If they intend to prevent cross faction trading outside of loot drops, guild bank can be a potential exploit around it.
I’m not sure why you’re obsessed with this. We’ve been able to mail between our toons from different factions since Shadowlands which seems like a much easier way to “exploit” if it was any concern for Blizz.
Ah yes, the ability to mail certain blizz/net bound items is a great arguement.
Also not really.
I also stated earlier that i think the faction trade issue should be taken down anyways.
Trust me, i am not happy that they are still limiting cross faction features. But I am also looking at it at a logical stand point on why they did x to prevent x.
Honestly they need to stop doing half measures. Either do it all the way or not at all.
I have the same problem with blizz and the recent sl customizations.
They don’t “intend” to “prevent” anything. That’s just the way the game is coded.
I don’t think so.
At some point in early vanilla, before WoW had raiding and pvp, both factions was able to chat together, at least in /say and /yell
Untill ppl started smack talking each other to the point where blizz added languages to stop it.
To stat a point, if they where able to do at least that, they can easily modify the game even back then to allow proper cross faction content.
Wrong. Before Blood Elves the Horde was dead. It’s the Alliance vs Blood Elves.
Blood Elves don’t need an unlock. Void Elves do.
Keep up.
It’s almost like I can guess that you’ve never done endgame content except for open world stuff and LFR when you say things like this. The faction imbalance isn’t due to elves, it’s due to players faction changing to the side where more endgame players are at. When people talk about a faction imbalance, this is what they mean.
There is an endless pool of players to do real content with on Horde, Alliance is very limited.
LOL it’s not just BOA or “certain” items. You can trade anything between toons on your account no matter the faction so I’d say it’s a solid refute to your stance. I regularly mail pots, gold, BOE’s, etc between my toons that all live on the same server.
The limitations aren’t there to prevent cross faction trading btw. They’re still around because of how much of the game is coded in regard to factions.
It’s obvious you just don’t know any better. It’s okay. You’re trying your best.
You wouldn’t know any better since you’ve never done any endgame stuff.
More than you, and that’s enough.
