So, what about paid transfers OFF Jom Gabbar to Shadowstrike. I just hate that I leveled there first, and now I have a level 60 with full pre raid bis, a crap ton of gold and consumes, and all of it is dead to me cause you guys aren’t willing to take my money.
Dont recognize any of the level 70 trolls that probably didnt even level toons in classic much less rank on them.

Yes, I played horde on Barman to rank 11 and saw the most drama I have ever seen with ranking in my life.
Regarding my posting toon - I post on my TBCC druid always because I have trust level 3 and don’t have a desire to swap.
On Barman, 30 high-ranking horde rerolled or quit during Christmas week, due to people with no life at all and no obligations at all pushing hard that week and ongoing. Some of these people who quit were 1 week away from getting R14.
Sure that could have been a one-time thing, but then after that, the drama continued. Comment after comment on the Discord about horde quitting at rank 11 or 12 after trying for weeks and weeks. The comments are still happening, no horde is really getting what they want.
There are posts about it here and it was all over the Barman Discord so if you have paid attention, even as an alliance, you would know that everything I’m saying about this is true. I’m happy to link a thread if you want.
I won’t speak for the alliance side, as I didn’t play there. I did see some drama on the alliance side through the Discord so I know ally side was not without drama although I can’t speak to it recently.
So that’s why I said what I did.

I mean you guys on Horde created your own issues. You literally just said, people who pvp did pvp during Christmas and a bunch of casuals who want to spend time with families quit. SoM isnt for casuals guys. Its for Mastery. Casuals are just masters of being casual. Happy they banned all the gold buyers and sellers, cause those guys were just casuals. Cant wait for all the casual hunters to start crying about fish that is gone for the game. SoM has been amzing BECAUSE it doesnt cater to scrubs and casuals.

You are speaking for the alliance only on Barman - you kill world bosses with ease and your population is much higher than horde. We can understand why you don’t want the open transfers. That said it is very easy to see fear that your guild members or ally players in general will leave indicates that you know very well that they will leave for what ever their personal reason may be but the grass is as green as you are proclaiming it to be. You wouldn’t be worried about them leaving if they had no reason to leave

I ranked two years ago during Christmas. I took time away from my family to do it. I have regretted that since, and I would never do it again.
You know, just not being able to play 24x7 AND WANTING TO SPEND TiME WITH FAMILY AT CHRISTMAS doesn’t make you a causal. Your definition is really skewed. Ask any other gamer outside of your lIttle pocket what being a hardcore gamer is and tell me how many people say “being able to sit at the house 24 hours a day 7 days a week with absolutely no life whatsoever”.
Every alliance guild I know of pulled in people from outside of their guild to get MC completed last week. People who are acting like getting the 14 people from Mutanas and the 30 people on nightfall is going to impact Barman in a positive way, but it wont.

What are you smoking? Barman shanker is freaking EMPTY outside of your members. Fine and dandy that you can find groups, crafted items, etc…the rest of the server can’t even find people to run Strat, scholo…basic crap.

There is a Simple solution to that issue Zinky.
r1 has a full core that hasn’t pugged in weeks.
Having typed all of that, the other side of the coin is this. I dont know a single person who is still ranking on Barman Alliance that is not filled with anxiety and apprehension about this move. They have created and maintained a community of stacking rankers that work together to push as many people as our small server can through the system that is inherently flawed in the first place.
They now have to join a new community, where people dont know them, and attempt to compete with teams and players who have been pushing twice the honor as our server for twice as long to maintain half the ranks. To a man and woman every single one of them is unhappy with this prospect.
Having ranked on Barman has been one of the funnest and biggest community building experiences I have ever been a part of and seeing the players that are getting mental anguish just to try to hit 14 is sad from a company that has a reputation for not caring about the wants and needs of its player base.

Sounds like you’re a “big” fish in a small pond that is scared of life where there is competition. “If we all have to transfer to Jom we will have to play with people we dont know, and that is scary.”
Server transfers will be best, don’t worry about it. If all of your guild and community want to stay together on Jom, they will. Simple as that

Maybe you shouldn’t say stuff like “ranking is so easy” and then go on a tirade about how being unable to play 24x7, or not wanting to play on Christmas, make you casual. Those things don’t fit together.
