I have a ‘plain letter’ in my inventory that I received a long time ago from a friend. They recently passed away and I logged in to read it today and the letter was blank. The letter is from about 15 years ago so I know it’s probably a hard ask, but is there any way to get the message in the letter restored?

I think there is a way to move the letter to your inventory as an item, isn’t there? If nothing else you could do that and save it as a keepsake.
Hes talking about restoring the text in the letter as its blank.
Ya I got that, just throwing out ideas though. Maybe it’s a bug and the text will reappear if he moves the letter to inventory? Worth a shot.
its already in his inventory.

I am so very sorry to hear that, Beatenx. Unfortunately, I don’t believe there is any way to restore what might have been in the letter.

Very slim chance, but could you have ever taken a screenshot of the text in the letter?
Some of us “pack rats” keep screenshots for years and years.
