I’m trying to push 2100 on my evoker heals, and 95% of games around the 1.9-2k are someone in their placement games on an alt right now. So that means most games are 0 CR gains due to 3-3, 3-3, 3-3, 3-3, 3-3, 3-3, etc. gaining no CR.
Then some dps gets cocky on match 6 and rushes into a 1v3 and gets 3 tapped and you lose 40 CR. Cool game mode. And if you want to even try and bring it back, guess what - 95% placement games. I just got out of a 1.9 MMR match that has a fresh geared warlock who’s shuffle record was 6-11. Wut? I hope BGs buries this game mode.

I know the feeling man. Though, I have found that 12.9% of the leaderboards(top 5000 SS for each spec) are made up of players that are in their placement games(less than 12 wins total). There are around 20861 unique players in the below graph in the humps marked in green for the total leaderboard.

So what spec are they all? Here is the count of players per spec that have less than 12 wins:

This does not include all specs mind you(only 14/33 specs shown), so anyone in placement games in a spec not in the list will not show up. A lot of DPS are playing their placement matches then quitting on these unpopular specs, but are still shown in the top 5000. I would guess that the same phenomenon occurs in the popular specs, so there are a lot more people than 13% of the total ladder in placement games in the overall ladder hiding behind the popular DPS and Healer specs. It sucks and is not good for the ladder in general when you cannot get points off someone in their placement games.
Yeah, I did well in my first placement game against other 0 CR players. My MMR shot up to 2k+.
My next few games were against ~2k CR players in full conquest gear. They did not go well.
I’ve literally had healers angrily asking me, “Why are you here?!”
I asked this one boomy in full blues the same question. he was 2300cr in shuffle last season so yah great logic blizzard i guess hes a 2300cr boomy this season to. no. he goes 0-6 and tanks the lobby for everyone
Don’t the other 3 DPS get rating from him?
if a boomy goes 0-6 then that would mean the healers went 3-3 and the dps went 4-2 so i actually think that i’d love being in that lobby as a dps

This is what happens. At this point, I’m done cleaning the diapers of dps in blues at 2k games. I’m just afking out or refusing to heal them to speed up the inevitable. Gotta love healing dps who can only manage to do 18k dps while taking massive damage and horrible position.
I’m currently playing some alts and I’m seeing this too.
Nope, just waste the healers time and boost the other dps inflation further.
shuffle needs reworked entirely imo
bg version does not qualify as that, thats just a solo q for rbg players
