So I cant open the chest on any characters, whats the point of this, also whats the point of support since we all know youll tell me you know its a glitch and you got no fixes
Buts gms dont fix bugs and normaly cant award loot and we have to wait on the developers.

Because Customer Support aren’t involve with any form of development, nor is liaisons for the development. If you encounter a bug, you’ll need to report it so the correct team can investigate and pass it on to the development to fix

Post this in the Bug Report forum. You can try submitting a ticket but if its a bug I’m not sure anything will be done about your problem short term.

This is a known issue right now but unfortunatly there is nothing CS can do about it. Any fixes or changes will come from the QA and Development team usually via a patch or hotfix.
You have to open the chest on the char that looted/received it. Do not put it in a warband bank or mail it.
Common Problems
Can’t interact with “Pirate’s Booty”, item in bags appears grey and can’t be opened
We have received several reports of this issue and can confirm it is not working as intended. Customer Support does not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience while our developers work as quickly as possible to resolve the issue.
This issue occurs when mailing your Pirate’s Booty to another character or despoting it in your warband bank. We recommend opening the Pirate’s Booty on the character that obtained the item to avoid this issue. Customer support does not provide assistance with replacing Pirate’s Booty’s which cannot be opened.
If you discover a new issue, please submit a new Bug report.

This forum serves as an Information Desk to help folks navigate support, explain policies, explain account services, etc.
The most that can happen here is that someone explains the current status of an issue to you, and what your options are.
You seem to think that is “sticking up” for Blizzard. I expressed no opinions on it one way or another. I get you are angry about the existence of a bug, but taking it out on others, and falsely accusing them of “sticking up” for Blizzard is illogical.
If anything, I was supporting the players by providing the accurate information on the Pirate Booty issue. Knowing what is going on beats being left in the dark.

I suppose you wouldn’t but it doesn’t seem you have any other option right now. As I would assume the gear you get from the box cannot be traded off of the character that opens it, you could try waiting to open the box until a fix is announced for this.
The devs know about the problem and are fixing it already, and it is possible that they’ll release a hotfix during maintenance or something. However, that is purely speculation.
