Was super impressive. He naturally talks fast and has insane game knowledge but i wasnt 100% sure it would translate so well to casting. Not only that but he brings that natural hype energy.
Already the best play by play caster which is saying alot because vens great too.
i couldn’t agree less about ven, pika’s the only one on that desk to not miss things as they happen by blathering on about what the next 2 minutes of the game can be sure to contain
there’s a place for that kind of forecasting but it should be smaller than it usually is and it should be FASTER
we need to move past this obsession with complete sentences, most of our casters are trying to hard to ape riot analyst postgame style during the wow match and it’s awful
I dont think u understood what i said. I said pika is already the best caster. Hello?
Its ironic because my one incomplete sentance is the one you misinterpreted.
Pika doesn’t play a caster class man he plays a rogue. Git ur fakts str8 m8
I think Jelly was really good at calling things out right as they happened, and was pretty good at catching any missteps that were made. The down side is, unless he always looks that grumpy, he seemed like he didn’t want to be up there.
all of these thoughts were very complete idk what ur confused about pinkmango
Thank god somebody else said it. So annoying to listen to people blathering on about their predictions for the future in the middle of a match. Just give us the play by play and save the fluff for between games.
Ok Remi the fact u follow me around the forums is getting a bit creepy. Youre obviously still upset about when i proved you wrong about there being hidden mmr in skirms (there is) with a holinka tweet.
You mention my pallys name as if im trying to hide it but the only reason i dont post on him is because it gets stuck on “choose character” load icon on mobile so im stuck with posting on this for now. U can quit stalking me now, i dont regret proving u wrong and never will.
link
i genuinely didnt see your response
idk what thread you’re talking about
edit: i just looked through post history
apparently this was a week ago??? LMAO
there’s 0 hidden mmr in skirms
all you did was say “@holinka” and nothing else lmao???
all that proves is that your peanut sized rmpala brain is wrong and you’ll never not be 2100 stuck
because you’re afraid that your opinion will be instantly dismissed when you voice from the perspective of a very very hardstuck 2k rmpala player
Remi, my cr is in the exact same bracket as yours and destro is broken.
And what did i say after @holinka? Hmm?
Youre genuinely too something to realize that it wont allow me to post the link so ill tell u the details on how to get that. Go to google. Type “holinka hidden mmr skirms” and its the first one.
Complicated stuff.
Stop stalking me now.
i dont play warlock man
Think the casters wanted to experiment. There was a time it seemed like the objective was to literally call every ability used that a caster could possibly manage - gave the average viewer very little indication of the overall story/outcome of a match. They may have gone a little overboard with predictions (i.e. “when we hit dampening there’s no way X healer can keep up with Y comp”), especially because I do think these insights rarely translate into new or engaging information. Still, I have admiration for all of them - casting WoW arenas is tough - the room for the sort of playmaking you see in other games is reduced due to limited mechanics (i.e. no aim, less positioning requirements, high healing, etc.) Gotta imagine it’s challenging with the game format (i.e. constant action, no periods of zero combat/total prep time, etc.) to effectively commentate and think overall that group does well. Think Pika did phenomenal as well.
He didn’t imply you thought pika was bad he said he disagrees with ven being good. I think you might be the one misunderstanding here champ.
The whole Blizz pvp casting roster is really good. They’re all genuinely likeable, entertaining guys. Was great to see Rich back too.
Compare the pvp casting roster to the MDI roster. Total night-and-day difference. The pve guys are booooooring.
because the mdi is boring lol
“oh, which team with two rogues, a prot warrior, an rdruid and a random melee dps will kill the boss first?? oh, that team SKIPPED that trash pack while the other team skipped a DIFFERENT trash pack, REMARKABLE BIG BRAIN HIGH IQ GAMEPLAY”
Yeah, the fact that the MDI is so boring to watch overall means that Blizz should focus extra-hard on finding entertaining casters for it. The MDI casters have legit no personality whatsoever.
They need to bring in Crusader to cast them.

Like the Tony Romo of casting.
