Definitely necromancer. To me tinker feels like another Void Elf/LF Draenei situation, taking a class theme and turning it into a race only this time its the opposite. A gnome/goblin engineer fulfills the fantasy enough imo
You mean Warhammer. But ok. There’s very little not taken directly from Warhammer as a whole. Even the Titans. One could say Warcraft borrowed heavily from Tolkien and Marvel comics. I know the current expansion borrows from Nausica Valley of the Wind and MARVELS by Alex Ross.
YES YES YES TO ALL OF THOSE (well, maybe dark ranger instead of tinker but YES)
I would vote for Bard, but I started out playing EQ and the bard there is an awesome buff class. The bard that WoW would make would be totally different. It could be really good, too, but not what I would expect one to be. So yes, I pick Bard.
I picture a bard spec being DPS and they do so with horrifically bad voices that cause ear bleeding.
I’d like to point out that the mantid use a form of sound magic. While the way they do it is currently restricted to that race’s physiology it can be used as a starting point to develop bards (not called bards) in WoW.
Off point here but Mantid should have a facture in their society and some of them should join the Horde. I’d play a bug race.
No. I meant Warcraft 3.
The Universe is Warhammer inspired
There’s inspiration from lots of things in WoW.
But I was talking about class design in case you forgot.
And every class has abilities from Warcraft 3.
Shamans have Bloodlust
Warlocks have Rain of Fire
Rogues have Fan of Knives
And guess what. Death Knights have Raise dead.
That’s why I want a Tinker class from Warcraft 3. Because it would fit with the existing classes in the game.
If you choose engineering, you don’t have a single ability that the Tinker Hero from Warcraft 3 had.
Picking the Engineering profession does not make you a Tinker…
You say “it fulfills the fantasy enough” but it objectively doesn’t fulfill that fantasy at all.
that sounds bad.
they could be more like sirens…
eeerie beautiufl songs that lure people to their death.
