Physical authenticator finally died, need to take off

Hi,
I have 2 accounts that were attached to a physical authenticator. after what 10 years it finally died. I could have sworn I took it off one account in anticipation of it being so old, but somehow I logged on again at one point and the 4 new empty bag slots had reappeared. Anyway I need to take it off the 2 accounts, this is not one of them. I sent a photo ID, but it is from this account not the affected ones.

How can I contact to get this resolved. Also, I just noticed the sticker on the back that has the serial number of the authenticator has fallen or rubbed off.
Thanks

You’ll need to contact our Support team to have the old authenticator removed. You can start the process here: https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/product/services/316/977/solution

Since your authenticator died you’ll need to select “Submit ticket with image of ID” so that we can verify that you are the registered user on the account. Once that is done they’ll be able to remove the authenticator for you.

I’d recommend adding the mobile version if you have that option.

Thanks for the reply. I tried going to the link you gave me, but it attaches the process of removing the authenticator to this account. It’s not this account, and I can’t log on to either of those accounts because it asks for my authenticator code.

I have 3 accounts. This one which I did not attach the authenticator since I recently made it. I have 2 other accounts both of which I’ve had since vanilla, and they both have the authenticator (same one) attached.

Frenchtoast Good luck. I have been trying to get this resolved for 8 days. Almost same issue except my account was taken and given back to me with a different authenticator…

Yes, the ticket system would default to the account you are currently logged into. If it isn’t on this account, try logging out and then use that link. You’ll be prompted to enter the related email address.
