so i have a prepaid phone. i am going to upgrade probably in a couple months/get new phone whatever. what is i guess a sort of checklist of things to do on phone to prepare for it? like how do i successfully transfer from having the battlenet app on one phone for my sms authenticator to the other? assuming its the same carrier just different phone.
If it’s the same phone number, nothing for SMS. If it’s not, remove the SMS prior to switching over.
For the authenticator, either capture the serial number and restore code to put on the new phone, or remove that as well an just do it from scratch on the new.

okay so mine is the one that sends you texts periodically when you login to approve. is that sms? last time i checked my account page. it said authenticator not added. but i get these texts. and have the battle net app.
You have SMS and the auth, Bread.

okay. for the serial number where do i find that?
Open the app, click on your user profile icon on the top left, and on that menu that pops out select Authenticator.
On that pop-up on the right hand side is a little cog wheel icon, it leads to authenticator settings.
Click the Serial and Restore Codes option and copy those.
