I am extremely out of the loop on SoD here and im just very curious.

Is SoD going to be Vanilla+ past just what we’ve gotten past the og vanilla final raid? I know it is already vanilla+ but is there no signs of stopping? May come back to it, only stopped cause i assumed itd just end at the normal end game raids (that and there was absolutely no way to get into the lvl 25+ raid at lvl 25 it seemed so i kinda gave up)

They claimed it would be, but then did nothing except for adding retail abilties, extremely basic pvp “events” and no unused, cut, or otherwise pushed to expansion content at all besides an instanced version of the ashenvale demon area (that was neither cut nor unfinished btw and they waited until phase 5 to even do that, p1-4 was literally just vanilla with retail abilities with the “endgame” just being literally the least ran dungeons turned into raids, and p6 and 7 have just been retail with a weird loot system and nothing else) and they are still promising, not scarlet cathedral, but Demon Fall Canyon V2 with an instanced area of the outdoor Tyr’s Fall area as a raid, while dumbing down Karazhan Crypts to an “experience” with a dungeon label.

so the only thing actually unfinished, KC, which we know to have been a raid based on both the size of kara in bc and beta, the size of the crypts, and the fact that it was going to be the next tier of content with Atiesh, the naxx legendary, literally portaling your raid to the entrance, is being turned into a glorified scenario.

They still, a year later, have said absolutely nothing about SoD beyond that the characters aren’t being deleted and that they weren’t going to era. Not really holding my breath but that has to mean that they will have their own server. But if that server is just a copy of SoD as it is now, it won’t be worth playing.

wasn’t there a blizzard post saying they are planning to continue on with sod?

There was a post, only saying that SoD characters would not be deleted once the phase ends. They haven’t told us where the characters are going, or anything like that.

Nor have they told us if classic + is happening. We only assume that because, where else would the characters go.
