I mean your initial comment is dont miss a raid night, its that easy. Now youre walking that back by saying just do your catchup chores. Your other comment is 1 hour a week (you dont even clear in 1 hour) and now youre saying its 3-4 (because thats actually realistic). I think everyone here is just calling out your hyperbolic comments.
My original comment was before they confirmed catch up mechanics. However I do still agree that those who miss raid night consistently shouldnt be on the same power level as those that don’t miss raid nights. If u want to be at the highest power level in a MMO. Then simply show up to every raid night. I will admit that 1 hour was very wrong on the length of time and 3-4 in more accurate however those who think that if u can’t raid consistently should be at the same level as those that do then u shouldn’t be playing an MMO centered around weekly raids
lol. guilds boasting about 9/9HM most of them do it with more than 20 people.
this borrowed power system and getting gear that is only usable within the instance is a freaking lazy and terrible idea.
I’ve had a great time in SoD so far, but this is the first time I’m totally speechless.
yep its an absolute trash idea, bump
I’ve yet to see an argument for why any of this stuff is worth doing. It seems like a lot of dev time to just make players unhappy when they wanted some very simple stuff. I almost want to quit over this and I raid aq40 4x a week.
How has blizz not learned after MULTIPLE failed attempts at borrowed power systems in retail that have been thoroughly disliked by the majority of the retail community. This is not any different.
This terrible system has me second guessing if I even want to raid Naxx and I’ve looked forward to Naxx since the start.
The system is deeply flawed. In the current implementation a DPS/tank in full AQ40 bis would get a DPS upgrade from equipping a sanctified healing piece…
I think that scenario alone illustrates the problems.
It also forces you to abandon set bonuses that improve QOL or the fun of a given spec.
The best solution would be to cap sanctified at 4 pieces max and either increase the power of the trinket or scale-down the hard modes to account for this.
I didn’t think they could do something dumber to a 60 raid than the Heat system for MC. The BWL and AQ hard mode systems were a step in the right direction. The affixes they’ve done in Naxx are a decent idea, but the abom and dk wings need some revision. Adding this dumb trinket system on top of that just completely ruins it.
The heat system in MC was fine as it was supposed to be a throwback to 2005 where tons of people got FR gear/potions. Borrowed power is highly questionable though on this scale, but might be better with some changes/nerfs.
I don’t want to have a shadow dmg ring for my boomys naxx pre bis blizz. Please pull the rip cord.
Your aware that Tier sets are borrowed power correct?
No they’re not. Tier sets work everywhere in perpetuity. Not borrowed power in any way. Sanctified is borrowed power, as you literally only have the power while borrowing it inside of Naxx.
When tier 1 comes out you get it, your borrowing the power of the tier bonus until new raid comes out with a new tier bonus, it is in fact borrowed power,
It isnt a permanent power increase
Tier 1 helps clear t2. This only helps you clear more of the same phase. This is 1 phase only. Its undead only. Its god awful.
Its not borrowed power, grow a brain. I can wear any of my old gear anywhere I want and it still functions. They were also supposed to let us coreforge/draconic t3.
Tier gear is literally borrowed power. Ian in an interview literally states this as fact
This isnt retail, bonuses arent disabled.
They are both borrowed power
It literally is spellpower to undead.
The t3 6pc is borrowed power, but the other clown was saying all tier gear is borrowed power.
