With phase 3’s imminent release, will any nerfs be applied towards ulduar 25 HM content and any news on legendary fragment drop rates? Will there be possible skips after flame leviathan as well? (EX all portals available from start) thank you!
I believe Ulduar is locked on the PTR.
No mention from the devs directly about nerfs for Ulduar. Nerfs are expected because Cutting Edge achievement says to complete Ulduar in its pre-nerf state.
I’m not expecting any skips to be placed. Ignis, Razorscale, Iron Council, and Auriya are all optional bosses.
They didnt announce that shard drop chances will change. They listed the drop table changes for Ulduar even mentioned shards are still 25man only, so it stands to reason that the drop chance is untouched as they didn’t address it.
Pretty much this. Personally i dont feel a nerf is warranted although im sure its coming because as mentioned, cutting edge. I dont see a need for skips though. Theres already bosses that can be and if a nerf hits hard then the bosses will be braindead easy.
Well… “technically” we are all playing a “pre-nerfed” version. So to say that they are going to nerf the content would be like saying we are going to bypass the normal condition for which Ulduar was meant to be played during its release.
So basically you’re asking is Ulduar going to be re-tuned to it’s normal difficulty…
The answer to that is probably yes. But does it need this even? Since the next phase will basically nerf the content through new gear from ToCG?
The mechanics and tuning of the Ulduar bosses are in the pre-nerf state (or what devs believed was their hardest state) and buffs we’re given to Algalon to account for the iLvl bump.
The iLvl bump could be considered a soft nerf, but the mechanics and tuning is in the pre-nerf state. The XT re-tuning could be argued a nerf as well i suppose.
Honorable mentions as Hodir’s 2 minute Hard mode timer (even though he does the emote and both 2 minutes and the post-nerf 3 minute mark)
Thorim casting Unbalancing strike off the melee swing timer, instead of queueing it up as the next melee hit.

Would be funny if they nerfed uld in phase 3, but added a titan rune to return it to pre-nerf and it would drop an additional piece of gear
The nerf is TOC gear acquired with very inflated Ulduar gear
You don’t need more than that, all was cleared in ilvl 213 gear.

Please add boss skip straight to Vezax, no one needs anything other than flare and comet. The raid is already a complete waste of time apart from those two bosses, you get 30 items being disenchanted every run.
Pfft on the 20+ weeks of ulduar i have yet to see the bow from thorim. Guess it dont matter though since toc has equivalent.
I’ve been suggesting they do this with raids for a while.
It also allows them to make harder versions of raids for folks that want that added challenge while letting the rest of us do the regular tuning without penalty.
That thinking is what lead to silly amount of versions retail raiding has. There is no need for it. Just improve your toon, improve your playing and join a group to improve with as a whole and none of the content is dificult.
One can only hope. If they do not have nerfs like in swp we might have to deal with the gold buyers and massive item costs. For the item costs to not be so bad people need to be able to pug stuff.
As usual, Blizzard won’t say anything about it until the day it launches.

I want massive nerfs to Ulduar in p3, not because it’s hard, I’ve been full clearing all hard modes since week 3…but because we will still run it in TOGC for fragments and the odd hard mode piece we haven’t seen many of.
Nerfs would just make it quicker and less time consuming which would be really really nice
My guild clears all HM and yogg0 every week just got my mount. ADD A SKIP no one needs the other bosses but Algalon/Yogg/Vex and make changes to VEX please for the love of god. Sitting for a minute for HM is such a slogg
Nerf it to the state it was in original wrath like 4 weeks in or so. I want to relive how easy it was, because nostalgia(Figured this is what Classic servers were for?).
After months of raiding in there, the only thing that will motivate most people who are sick of it is to let us bully the HM bosses into dropping the few pieces that don’t ever drop.
Also it will save time. People are napping at Vez.
