It will calm down. The zerg farming for honor gets old really quickly and most people will go back to what they were doing before once they realize that any hope of getting a high ranking is going to require literally no-lifeing the game for the next few months. The gankers will still be out, flight paths will still get camped during the busy hours, that happened the last few months here, and from my experiences in vanilla, it’ll keep happening until the heat death of the game.
You should definitely be able to give 5 people the slip. Friends without stealth is rough but you gotta try to bait them away from your buddies. If you didn’t want to be dodging an outrageous number of enemies you definitely rolled the wrong kind of server.
Guys, they had 20 years of WOW to think and implement a good Phase 2. Actually I’m leveling a 47 hunter and got ganked 5 times in 10 mins by a 60 level rogue that doe’s this for fun and don’t even get any honor. If they think this is a good implementation thay’re really, really mistaken.

It’s a bog standard implementation. How are you able to play an MMO yet have never heard of griefing? There are people whose sole pleasure is derived from camping you until you ragequit and consider it a bonus win if you quit the game in disgust. NO ONE should be shocked by this, this is the normal wow experience. This is what ‘world pvp’ means. It’s why I, who find ‘world pvp’ to be the most boring stuff imaginable, play on normal realms. World pvp doesn’t mean ‘one person fighting one person of comparable level in the open world’.

I cant reply on behalf of pvp servers as i am on a PvE server. But phase 2 has been a fantastic boon for classic on pagle (pve). Quite the opposite of killing the game.
The opt in pvp is a fantastic avenue of something fun to do.

LMAO the same people calling for blizz to rush this phase out, are now saying it’s killing the game, guess what world PvP is still gonna be here with BGs welcome to Vanilla!
I just unsubbed tonight and noted as the reason honor without BGs turning the game into an unplayable mess. Ever since honor went live, I haven’t been able to go 3 minutes without getting ganked by 2+ level 60s. They’re swarming every part of the map, and despite this being a Horde dominated server, it seems the Horde players are doing the same to the low level chars while ignoring the 60 Alliance chars. It’s ugly.

In 2 months the same smooth brained horde trolls shrieking ~GiT GuD~ ~rERoLL lULz~ will be flocking to these forums to cry about how world pvp is dead, there are no alliance on their server, and bg queue times for them are through the roof.
They really, truly do not comprehend the problems here and lack the ability to see the bigger picture. Sad, really.

I added 1 unsub to that list. I played on pvp server all 15 years, and it was never like it is in classic right now, and I was on Sargeras horde, which was a 10H/90A server.

It’s been 30 minutes and I’m almost at the entrance of BRD. Horde players have no idea the frustration we have been through these last 2 days.
I’m counting 20 of them camping outside the mountain when I corpse run through.

You know if Blizzard implemented measures that ensure 50/50 population between the two factions, this wouldn’t be a problem.
Meh, we know the pain. There’s roaming bands of Alliance 60s killing the leveling Horde, while the roaming bands of Horde 60s are killing the leveling Alliance. Everything’s a mess right now.
Has it not even been 48 hours? Let people get Honor mania out of their system. Find sone out-of-the-way spots while you listen to war chatter on General. Or maybe play or do something else for a few.
The real cleansing as started, time to boot retail players out of Classic, we told you so.

It’s not like it was any better back in vanilla, that’s why they rushed out bgs in about a month after honor after they saw how hard they dropped the ball.
That was back when you could not get Naxx level gear from it when only MC tier over stuff was out too.
