60% of the time, it works every time.
thats because rogues below 2100 are not good dont know how to 1 shot or they know the one shot but dont know how to be immortal
good rogue wont let you do anything before the duel and during the duel unless you have trinket you die or prewall at 100%(and still probably die)
rogues the worst class in the game below 1600 and the best class in game past 2400

I do think shadowy duel should probably be removed only because it just doesn’t really seem to fit in the game at all.
Besides if a rogue is good they don’t need it. For years rogues have been able to win through control.
I don’t care if they buff rogue to compensate removing it but it’s just doesn’t really feel like it fits into the game.

‘Yeah hey save the trinket for duel so the rogue can cc & do whatever he wants to you & your team out of fear’.
Been saying it needs to be removed for a long time now. It cant exist in a healthy state.
And lest we not forget duel on warrior reduces both caster & victim damage by 50% & costs warriors very expensive PvP talent slots (which would be used to maximize damage output at all times) that we currently can’t afford to lose in the current meta.
Yeha. I mean. Whoever designed shadowy duel was out of touch for many reasons, but one was that something as punishing should have drawbacks. Or idk, forgetting all the energy sources theyve baked into the class over the years especially legion+
50 energy should be so expensive that duel is difficult to use optimally. But thanks to a whole arsenal of energy crutches and even energy pool increases you almost dont need to worry about that.

Just played on my Destruction warlock. Dead in a single sap in the opener, I dark pact on 100% hp and pre- Soul rip the guy, he cloaks offensive and duels me halfway through his go and I just died.
I’m not pressing my entire keyboard to survive a single Rogue go, I’m dead next go anyway in a smoke 
was a Shuffle, Rogue went 6-0. Literal version of undeniable zugzug. Sap > Cheap shot spam + pve rotation isn’t high skill, neither is duel, stop living in the past pretending current Rogue takes skill compared to old versions

not defending rogue because its the most broken spec in wow but u can literally just trinket soulburn port and line and his go is over.
Rogues busted but you’re trolling hard here. Warlocks literally one of the best classes into rogues bs cause you can trade so well constantly. And if the rogues trolling by cloaking aggro it’s even more reason you’d win if you actually tried.

I haven’t even named all of them. Sure not all of them are considered hard counters but there is something that can be done against duel.
The always popular “Guys, you have defensives, just save them for duel”. Which, if you do. congrats, you didn’t have to worry about the duel, because you died without the rogue having to use it… Because you were saving for the duel.
The point, Mr. Rogue, is that it is absurd that WITH ALL THE OTHER cooldowns you have that any and all of us have to manage, that we have to risk potentially the ENTIRE match to save ONE cooldown for the POSSIBILITY that a single ability may get used is so beyond absurd it defies belief.

Isn’t that how it works? Am I missing something or isn’t that whole point of CD trading?
on a (nearly, not even exactly) even playing field, maybe. But that is not the case against Sub Rogues. I play a variety of classes and specs… There is no spec that has enough CDs, even when rotated through properly, that can withstand the full go of a Sub Rogue AND THEN Duel. The math doesn’t support it.
