I was able to replicate the issue by installing pettracker and then remove the issue by simply unchecking the addon’s replacement pet switcher. Don’t know why it’s not working, it’s not throwing any lua errors and my knowledge isn’t really up to trying to troubleshoot it.
That’s a good find.
Can you update the GitHub issue I linked? I’m sure Jailborc would appreciate having the fault narrowed like that.
I’m having the same problem on World Quest pet battles.
Since Undermine came out 11.1 I use Pet battles addons Pet Tracker, PetJournal enhanced, and Rematch , are not showing the enemies ability’s so you can see what they are using and the cool down countdown. I tried on many different areas reloaded, updated them, also turned them off completely then exited the game and then came back in and still nothing. Is anyone else having this issue?
I just read this post and tried it and now pets in combat is now working. Thank you!
Thank you! This fixed it for me!
I am having the same problem. I can get around it for now by doing: /reload
still not working but then i disabled the add on pet tracker and it worked. so hopefully this helps anyone who needs it.
with switcher activated (checked) it shows the normal switching interface on my end.
in other words I have to have pettracker installed and activated in order to have normal pet combat battles.
I had to hit escape and work with my addons. I’d turn on/off Bartender depending on how many of my pets had died. Then when I reset the UI I’d have the option for switching a pet. It’s a headache. I tried wiping my UI completely and it did nothing for the problem.
I had the same problems mentioned above. My solution, working so far, was to use the previous version of PetTracker and not update it to the current one; easily done from Curse,
I’ve tried with and without addons and it happens no matter what.
I have the same problem.
/reload helps, BUT it creates another issue:
After I have killed the first enemy pet, the second one enters the battle and usually kills my pet. I /reload and after the game has reloaded, the second enemy pet is already dead, even though I didn’t kill it.
Blizzard, please fix this. This is frustrating.
Go to settings> Addons>PetTracker>Combat>Turn OFF “Switcher”
That worked for me, and you can still use the addon for other things.
This isn’t a Blizzard problem to fix, they don’t control how Add-ons get updated.
This issue is caused by the Pet Tracker addon. You can contact the developer and let them know of the problem if you’d like.
March 23. 2025 - reloading ui worked! Wonder if they will ever get this fixed?
It isn’t an issue with the Blizzard UI, it’s an issue with the addon developer. You will need to file a bug report with them.
The bug report already exists. If you want to contribute to that report, you will need a Github account.
I believe you are right, but how far back would you go?
What version did you use?
Once I get this addon to right what it’s done to my side of the world server I can then say goodbye forever to this pettracker nightmare.
