I will admit, I do not enjoy pet battling much. I find it boring and easy however I also find it more tedious than a normal world quest.

Is there any way to tone these down? I’ll get 4 world quests for pets on a daily basis. Honestly, I can imagine one a day, or one a week. But FOUR a day? Can we make these regular world quests? Pleases? I would like to see 4-8 normal world quests a day instead of pet battle. This is World of Warcraft not Pokemon Go.

Edit: I get it. People love Pokemon Go in WoW. What I’m asking for is a way to OPT out just as people can opt out of PvP and not see those WQ. I’m not asking for pet battles to disappear, I’m asking for an alternative WQ in lieu of pet battles. I personally think getting 4 pet battles a day is ridiculous in a new expansion with lots of variety of things that can be WQ.

If you just want the WQ completion you can do it with a team of lvl 1’s. And most of the time a random pet that has the advantage over the NPC’s can easily give you the win when using this strat.

oh I know. I still do them for renown but FOUR pet battle World Quests a day is 50% of your world quests being pet battles. That’s insane.

Now I enjoy them. They are quick, easy to do and earn me a currency I can use to buy other pets which I can sell for gold if I want to. It’s a win/win for me.

Which is what I generally do unless Im after a family quest achievement. I use my pet add on to let me know the best pet family to pick from, put the level at 1-7 and it generally takes me a couple of minutes to do.

the percentage of world quests that are pet battles seems a bit higher than usual to me as well, but that could just be confirmation bias.

I say less pokemon go and more pokemon snap. I still really like the picture taking world quests.

How did I not know that and had to load wowhead to find proper pets to do every time and hope it works.

i like pet battle stuff but in the sense that it’s on my to-do list cause i kinda like it but it never actually gets done cause there’s other stuff i wanna do

That’s great. I’m glad you enjoy them. I wish there was a toggle though to turn off pet battle WQ and have the game generate other WQ. I don’t find them hard, I find them anti-wow because it’s just pokemon to me.

I wouldn’t want to ruin anothers players way to generate income or have fun, I’m just asking for LESS pet battles and more normal WQ.

They are a mini-game like other options - eg, the climbing ones or the puzzles. And they use a set of pets you collect from around the game world.

Then put in a suggestion via the ingame suggestion system. Its a good way to get your ideas directly to Blizzard, while they may miss them here.

On top of that I just counted 14 WQ and only 4 are pet battles.

they are very easy if you use level 1 pets…

problem is they dont stay level 1 very long… need to get a lot of new pets lol

*if there’s a way to lock their xp, i’m not aware of it.

but yeah level 1 pets and some cheatsheet to know whats good against what and the battles are basically a free win.

Y’know, you are correct attractive Panda. I turned on my WQ list add on and there ya go, 4 of them.

Now for me, the most annoying ones are the races. I was very happy yesterday to complete Pathfinder and I find the dragonraces to be painful to complete and…anti-wow for me. Would be good if I could do them on standard flight at my own pace. I wish I could swap those out for more pet battles :sunglasses:

So far the ones I have done have been using 2/3 of the same pets to just crush the bosses. It isn’t really a challenge if you have the right pets.

If you don’t have pets, use lvl 1 pets that’s also a valid way to win.

I know in DF, there would be a group of 5 or so world quests per zone and 1 of those would be pet battle based. Here feel like it’s 1 out of ever 4, but the WQ timer for this expansion is much more varied than the Tuesday reset/Friday evening groupings, so it’s hard to say for certain.

Can someone tell me why 2-3 days ago, each of these PB WQs rewarded rep for the zone that they’re in.

I ran them today … and no rep.

Why? For people like the OP, why would they even bother to run them?? Rep is the only reason to do them if you’re not into PB/ collecting.

Ooo reminder for yall, there’s an addon called Niggles Pet Teams that will SAVE your pet teams per boss so that you can set up perfect teams to steamroll those WQs even faster… :+1:

There’s also Rematch.

NO THANKS -just don’t do them. And if your issue is there isn’t enough other quests yes I agree. Blizzard needs to put more world quests in. I should easily have enough to do in one zone.

Many world quests have a one time rep bonus so that you can’t farm faction rep on 10 different characters since the renown is now warband based instead of per character.

But I had only done them for the first time today on my main chr. I should have gotten rep … and I didn’t.

I “only” have 2 chrs at 80, and I’m only doing WQs on my main. There is no way I could have mistaken this.
