Makes almost 0 sense, because wPvP is one of the most “dead” forms of content there is lol
Outside of like gimmick quests like the “kill 25 players” one, I’m not aware of any players that use wPvP as their “main” form of content. Seems like it’s an “on the side”-type form of content that basically dries up beyond the first few weeks of a patch
Random BGs are way more active/evergreen, this change they made was backwards and poorly thought-out imo
IMO, it makes 0 sense that pest foggers are usable in random bgs.
People can stand near some sort of cliff and be untouchable by melee. It’s harder to capture nodes/gys because someone can spam a ranged AOE damage, knock back, and snare on a 10 second CD.
Doesn’t have to make sense, random/casual BGs are meant to be fun
Gliders, brezes, lust, OP consumables, random niche toys/banners are part of the fun of the casual BGs experience imo
There’s creative strategies/battle strats that are ONLY possible due to the above-mentioned consumable items being usable in casual BGs/casual epic BGs
They also need to increase the cooldown on some of those items. It won’t matter to me though since I won’t be queueing random BGs at all if I can cap conquest solely via solo BGs.
In other words, guh-bye lopsided GY stomp matches with people in gear from the previous season. You won’t be missed.
Personally I haven’t even touched the wPvP stuff since like BFA, and the thought of taking a bunch of alts (…that have literally 0 Blood Tokens) out to do wPvP events doesn’t seem fun or interesting
Being able to have all my consumable needs met with a quick trip over to the nearby AH building was much better than this
So I cant even use any (garbage) grenades from engineering in PvP but they allow these items? Seriously? These are 10000% better then any other consumable or even most class talents. These need to have the same “only in the world” flag that almost every engineering item has.
