At least it will help with RMT/GDKPs a little. Surely some will RMT full carry runs like they do on retail, but at least an avg person will finally be able to find normal pug runs like on Retail.
It’s quite mind blowing that its easier to pug content on retail than it is in Classic.
People GDKP because they either get loot or money, the players can press 3 buttons in order and the RL doesn’t lead through RWs. But it’s still a pug run?
If you want a SR or MS>OS pug you’ll have to get on your servers discord groups
Trade chat pugs are 99% of the time actual clown fiestas.
I run with my guild btw, but nothing wrong with GDKPs imo
If I can’t make a guild raid and have to pug its 100% a gdkp, purely because there’s nothing worse than have hours free to raid, you get in kill a couple bosses and some bozo logs off after 45 mins and the group struggles to fill if it’s an important spot

Presumably we’ll have it in LFR and I wouldn’t mind it in RDF.
Personal loot means
No gdkp where most of them are based on RMT
No HR which selfish people live for
No corrupt LC a hundreds of greedy guild creator with his friends to leech all loot first
we’re basically talking about most of classic players,
if blizzard enforced personal loot then we will find game empty and dead!
because classic is not a game for fun after all…it’s business.
I guarantee a certain percent of gdkp are rmt backed but not even close to most from what I have seen. I have also been in one guild that did full loot council and another that did lc on trinkets and a few weapons and both were fair and drama free (and no I was not a member of either lc). As far as HR goes I don’t get the problem as long as it’s not out of control and stated up front.
Now obviously this is all just my thoughts and personal experiences but I have been on three decent servers since classic launch and completed every raid minus one boss in SWP pre nerf so I am not new to the pug or guild scene.
No the wow needs microtransactions, and wow token sales. So for that they need gdkp and pay for hr runs. So you won’t get it and you will buy tokens. If they didn’t do personal loot there would be no long term demand for wow tokens.

I’m not a fan of personal loot. But, meh… I don’t think I’ll be playing Cata… I kind of lost interest in Wrath when RDF came out.
Does LFR lock you to normal/heroic?
There is a reason why personal loot was removed from the game.
It doesn’t belong in guild groups that’s for sure.
It doesn’t and personal loot was originally added explicitly for LFR.
ISn’t it still there for LFR and RDF? It’s just removed from pre formed group content. Which is as it should be.

GDKP is a huge part of the game now. They do personal loot and lose all those subs. RMT/GDKP is here to stay and Blizzard is fine with it.
They could just hire GMs… They won’t but it would fix the problem.

I remember the legion version of personal loot for raids was ‘if 90% of the raid team was in the same guild you could put master / group loot’ I would be okay with that but not forcing guilds to personal loot.
So you would quit because you can’t leech gold off swipers?
Or you would quit because you can’t RMT your loot any longer?

Because what this tells me is that you don’t actually care about the game itself. You care about gold you can make. But why? Why even play then?
