It’s still personal loot… that you could trade just like personal loot.
you could not trade your bonus rolls. bonus rolls were not personal loot.
Pretty sure you could trade the results.
No. you could not.
My comment was to a suggestion to make PL have no trade restrictions, not how PL did function under its most recent implementation.
You could not trade the loot obtained via bonus rolls.
Group loot has the same ‘bad luck protection’ that personal loot had.
Yeah you’re right, I remembered incorrectly.
I still think it’s part and parcel with the personal loot system though. It was just an additional roll, but with protections.
You could not.
And it would been awful for teams because they’d be “encouraged” to use bonus rolls to fish items for someone else.
fish items for someone else.
alright guys, jimmy here really needs some upgrade, did everyone make sure to grab you tokens this week? okay make sure you use them on this boss, lets get some extra pieces of tier to trade to jimmy
Yeah I didn’t remember correctly. People still fished though just with class stacking.
My friend found out he couldn’t roll on any of the LFR trinkets because of a 382 he picked up from a world quest.
He immediately left group and logged out for the night
This is a great idea, but it’s already covered by the vault.
Not directly @ you, but why is everyone so convinced PL had “bad luck protection”? It certainly did not. It really did not. You are all remembering Legion legendaries.
In my case its because of extra loot rolls which did have bad luck protection.
I would like to see the return of extra loot rolls, personally.
I don’t remember hearing anything ever about bad luck protection in PL until GL came up then some people started claiming it was there.
It’s quantified by the fact I don’t get loot then randomly do so clearly the system works. I have absolutely no means to prove that it does or to the degree that it does, but just sometimes I got loot after so long so clearly it works and wasn’t my dice just rolled lucky that kill. =P
For real though I learned to not trust Blizzard’s Bad Luck Protection ever since Legion came out and they had to hotfix it a week in because it was set to operate in reverse for legendaries which they acknowledged. If you had a legendary your odds of getting another one went up. Yet I still did m+ 8 hours a day and didn’t see my first legendary until week 3 of the raid being out while people just had like 2-3 of them at their disposal despite playing significantly less than I did.
That was a lot of fun. Players with 2-3 legendaries while their guildmates sat at 0 for over a month. And the unlucky few that that received the necklace as their first legendary drop.
Good times.
False citation. There was NO bad luck protection for PL.
I got more upgrade loot from Mythic 0 and rando World Quest drops than Normal raiding last week.
I miss personal loot. Loot always seems to go to people who perform lower to . Out dpsing higher ilvl same classes only for them to win over me sucks. Feels to much like work. Kind of want to quit playing. At least we used to have bonus rolls with the old group loot.
If you didn’t know personal loot had bad luck protection in that every time you didn’t get loot your chance at getting loot would slightly increase with every boss kill.
is there any source for that or just a gut feeling?
i heard about that a few times but never anything substantial
