Please if you’re here to say but the expac barely started just play it instead of asking for what you want. I am playing it and I’m loving it and I’m doing what a dev said to do in an interview and that’s to show that we want WOTLK era servers. Please its not a big expense Blizzard 2 pvp 2 pve 1 rp servers per region shrink and expand them per demand but its guaranteed revenue there’s so many people that would would stay subbed to play WOTLK. There’s a reason why so many private servers are still jampacked full of people running it to this day. Its your best expansion and I never want to leave it. Please give us this option don’t force us into Cata I refuse to play it.
Add any ideas you might have guys.

Yes, make pre-Cata and post-Cata servers separate so the people who can enjoy each era can play them.
I personally want to experience MoP, as I haven’t before. But I want WotLK servers to stay.

I think 3 things will happen.
- Some servers move to Cata
- Some servers that will stay on Wrath
- Classic trilogy reset
What Blizzard can’t do is make you pay to copy characters, etc. like with classic era servers

I was talking to my friend about this last night, yes this will cause a massive split between the player base but at least wrath will be preserved and those who want to move forward with cata can (personally i think they shouldn’t do character transfers and force everyone to start fresh to avoid what happened here with tbc/wrath)

Perma wrath with seasons that roll over every year or 16 months would be so effing good.

- Classic Era Servers
- Permanent Lich King (No Reset)
- SoM for Lich King
- Cataclysm (and beyond) servers

We didn’t get tbc era servers, therefore there is a 0% chance we get wotlk era servers.

Very unlikely we’ll get permanent era servers anymore. Given Holly is running the show and given her EQ background we’ll probably get EQ style progression servers as the classic model going forward.
What I want is wrath servers to stay where they are now as wrath, give us separate cata servers and force anyone who wants to play cata to make new characters to prevent cata+ from being destroyed by hundreds of thousands of gold and materials from being pulled into it.

What’s the point? How many month can u play the same patch every day till you get bored and hate it? (as dragon soul patch did)

Cataclysm was not a “fresh” game, was an expansion… Expansion come with all player base being max level of the previous one… Game evolves… Can’t get stuck forever in the same patch… Is a death sentence…
There’s a reason why private servers ran Wrath over and over and over, it’s one of the best expansions with tons of content and quite alt friendly.

Personally, I will remain a Classic WoW player through WotLK, but I have no interest in Cata; and the Panda bears left me about as impressed with WoW as the Ewoks left me impressed with the Star Wars franchise—in other words, not at all.
I would continue to play Classic WotLK on a permanent Classic WotLK server, and would kind of like to play Legion, one of the three WoW xpacs I missed, but I have no interest at all in Cata, MoP, or (may the gods forgive what Blizzard made) Warlords of Drano.

If they keep the game exactly as it is right now, I’m staying subbed. I agree with you and hope they don’t evolve the game to Cata or make any other changes. Loving the game as it is now. Hope they stick with it!

Wont work unless the game goes F2P.
People cant afford to pay a gym membership amount to justify maybe logging in every once a week or so to do a raid or do casual pvp.
Reason Pservers run for so long is because its free. You can log on wait 2 years and go back and your character is still there, ICC geared as it was years ago. Still new players out in the world grinding and getting shredded by geared players.
Anyways, thats the only way the population will be sustained. Otherwise it will end up like classic realms, and this time there wont be anywhere for players to go. As cata isnt a plan for most classic players and its the end of line. Back to warmane I guess.
