I would also like to know what happens if you play these and then don’t want to go to TBC. Do you just get funneled back to existing era servers and lose the changes? Or do you go to fresh era servers? Or TBC or die?

they must bring back the cloning feature, i want that option again for this vanilla-tbc transition. then they must offer it again during tbc-wrath. then just end the servers at wrath.

Your love for TBC can not be very big, if you don´t want to play it.
In my case, TBC is only fun if it is a fresh realm, without the max level chars from classic and a real patch cycle. So if that realm comes up, I would be positive about it.
The last TBC was a waste of time, as it did not resemble the true TBC experience. Attunments, original Vashj and Muru are a dealbreaker to have a true vintage experience.
What they did throw at us last time, was not TBC but pre WOTLK anyways.
I support a TBC era. Hope you people get that.

Wrong, I love TBC far more than any version of WoW that ever existed. I just don’t want them giving it to me and then ripping it away again for no good reason while the vanilla fans get special treatment.
Also completely wrong. There was no WOTLK announced, no one had any idea it would be coming next. But they did give us a big speech about how they were “meeting the diverse needs of players” so they could stay in the expansion they wanted. We all expected permanent TBC with character cloning if there was a WOTLK coming next. It was straight up a rug pull on us.

This is just another progressive classic grouping of servers. The rule changes assures that they will not allow toons to roll to era realms and staying silent on tbc permanence loudly yells that the servers will progress to wotlk and beyond
