Thanks for bumping the thread yet again to ensure more people see it and respond. Also, thank you for confirming that people do buy gold.

Appreciate your help, buddy

If you could please respond to this and bump my thread further, I would be so happy

Retail has an immeasurable amount of gold sinks. Legendaries which have base materials that cost hundreds of thousands of gold and these legendaries are replaced all the time (either through blizzard re-balancing them and people needing to make new ones to min/max or new patches coming out which increase ilvl)

Yeah, no argument there. Haven’t played much retail after 9.0.

Yeah, but in general. The power of the legendary is in the actual power and not the ilvl. You don’t necessarily need to keep raising it. Getting epic flyer and enchants on every new upgrade and consumables can be very expensive. In a raid logging expansion like this, you’re going to have people buying gold.

i understand that people want to cut corners and purchase gold to save time, but that simply isn’t the spirit of TBC. There is a reason that gold purchasing is against TOS and a bannable offence.

It’s not correct to argue that it’s ok for people to buy gold just because lots of people want to buy gold.

If people don’t want to spend the time to properly prepare for a raid, coming with full consumes and BiS enchants, then they should probably just join a casual guild that doesn’t care if you use a flask or not.

Blizzard does not force you to join a hard core raid. The reason these are called “hard-core raids” is because the members are “hard-core” and spend LOTS of time min/maxing their characters through the RPG progression of WoW.

It genuinely is not fair to the TRUE HARDCORE raiders if a person can just buy gold and log into the game and do nothing but raid.

There’s no shame in not playing all end-game content. Is it a big deal if you dont kill illidan until mid-phase 5? Not at all. You can still have fun logging on with your raid members and enjoying the time you spend with them working on progressing (even if that progression is very slow).

PERMA BAN FOR ALL GOLD PURCHASERS PLEASE

and i mean, come on… making gold is not hard. TBC raiders can passively make the amount of gold they need for weekly consumes and new enchants if they spent more than two seconds thinking about it.

I agree with you, but this expansion was designed around millions of players. That doesn’t work with a couple hundred thousand.

Yep. Exactly that. People are poor because they choose to be poor. Nothing more to it.

I mean, I can do 2-3 dailies in an average time of about 10 minutes.

If you are short on gold, that’s kinds your own personal choice. Gold is falling out of people’s ears in tbcc just by playing the game.

Well in this day and age we have “players” like this.

Who aren’t willing to spend 10 minutes doing the easiest of dailies to support their gold needs. And instead are demanding ways to skip the constant gold grind in some form, like demanding dual spec so they don’t have to worry about respec costs between pvp and pve.

It’s sad that they can’t accept 1 of 2 truths.

  1. Tbcc might not be the game for them if they don’t want to put in any time to actually play the game.
    Or
  2. They need to put in some effort, not even a lot, to be able to play all the aspects of this game they want to play, within the design of the game, instead of trying to change the game to fit their personal preferences.

who said that I need gold ? I run gdkps every week wtf are you talking about ?

That gold gets made somehow.

There’s a good chance some of your high spenders didn’t farm it.

dont realy care …

Another casualty of mega servers.

nah the spawn rates just suck

Botters and buyers pay for subs too, it’s all about the $$$ for Acti-Blizz. They just gotta occasionally wipe the low tech bots to appease the masses for PR purposes.

The problem with a perma is it can easily be used for malicious means.

What, I spend 50 bucks to send someone else gold, they get flagged due to the seller getting caught, and then the “buyer” logs in and finds their account perma banned because I went out of my way to put them in a position to be banned.

It’s a fine line between maintaining the game and punishing those who buy gold as well as maintaining protection for players from other players.

So did /spit and paintings of women.

If a person is not smart enough to delete random letters that come to their character’s inbox filled with sporadic amounts of gold and click the “report” button on the top of each letter, then they probably deserve to get the perma ban.

If a person receives a large sum of gold from a gold buyer and they click report on that letter, the recipient will not get banned. It’s not rocket science kid lol.

I mean, i honestly get tons of letters from potential gold sellers telling me to go to their website and these letters all contain small amounts of gold between 10-20g. Every time i receive one of these, I simply click report and poof it’s gone. No ban for me. I simply don’t accept the gold.

Let’s see, what are the other ways gold sellers get gold to buyers? Through phony auctions (easy, don’t buy the auction if you are an innocent person) and direct trades (easy, don’t accept a trade with a large amount of gold for no reason)…

Blizzard, you are free to initiate perma bans for gold buyers without fear that you would be potentially prosecuting an innocent bystander who is the victim of a horrific crime

You don’t have to open the mail to get caught buying gold.

Imagine not using a second account for this specific purpose.

And again, you don’t have to open the mail to get the zucc.

Ok old man playing a furry dressed as a rat.

Imagine thinking that 10g is going to trigger Blizz when the trigger is thousands of gold.

Neither one of those is a trackable, unlike sending it via mail.

Lmao, imagine making a bold comment to double down on a post that started with an inherently wrong statement.

Fact: You don’t have to open the mail to get zucc’d.

If you are so worried about getting banned, then you should delete the TOS-breaking add on Enchanter.

Sorry man but I’m going to just put you on ignore because this is honestly beneath me.
