It use to be that the guy on the baseball team in charge of making trades and negotiating player salaries was called the “General Manager”.
Then teams started calling him “Vice President of Baseball Operations”.
Today they are calling him “President of baseball operations”.
Same job but it’s nothing more than title inflation.

I strongly suspect he’s Vice President of World of Warcraft, or maybe Vice President of the Warcraft franchise. So, Ion wouldn’t be the one to work on a new IP. I’m sure his hands are full with the Worldsoul Saga.

I want WoW housing and a Warcraft 2 movie/animated series in the style of Heathstone following the Orc and the Human but set on Azeroth like immediately.
And they eventually create a weird D&D group along the way so we can have elves and Druids.

They had a new game that Microsoft shelved recently. The industry has entered a “no risks allowed” phase (more than usual), so I don’t think we’ll see anything new from Blizzard for a while.
Microsoft spent billions to acquire them, and they want their money back. They’re better off financially if they just make a store mount occasionally.

Reminds me of when I used to apply to government jobs.
The list of skills and titles sounded made up and excessive for the actual job role.
It would be like me applying as medic to say:
20 second efficiency with Miller. Able to drive blindfolded at night in the rain to all 47 SNFs. Expert waste containment. Safety inspector of all transport vehicles. Advanced equipment knowledge and supervisor of Stryker, Zoll, LifePak, ESO, 800s, and Windows. Pharmacological schedule II provider. Notation and dictation expert level 12. IFT specialist. Lord Vice Admiral of the tutelage of the methodological advancement of protocols for the benefit of new initiates.
