People who can't follow a good tank, play followers

Thats just rated 3s. Move the mounts to solo queue ( aka real pvp) and you would see more glads then ever

Prot Warrior version, run to pack and TC, run to next pack and TC, run to next pack and TC, LoS and SB while waiting, then they round the corner and see an avatar infused thundergod in their face… so much fun.

The newest annoyance for me is Spellslinger for Mage have a chance any time our new DoT does damage to just fire off an Arcane Orb in front of us.

Which isn’t great when the tank starts pulling the second half of the dungeon before the first half is even dead and now I’m firing off random arcane orbs that I can’t stop.

I let people know that i’m about to do the big LEEROYYYY pull and usually its fine. Every mob down the hallway from Rookery 1st boss to 2nd…good times…dps must love that all bunched up at the end

If the group seems a bit squishy its up to the tank to hold up tho. Not everyone has bazillion in mitigation.

The issue with what you’re saying is that, the opposite could just as easily be said to you. A good tank is a leader, a good leader leads, but also accommodates their group. If the group doesn’t seem comfortable with big pulls, don’t do them, if they do, carry on.

I decided not to ignore you.

I am confused by this statement you made. Is this about residual aggro or something else?

I haven’t played in like, 5 years. Very casual player. Admittedly pretty bad situational awareness, but nothing the right cues won’t fix. That all being said, the more specific social cues of doing dungeons is something that’ll come back to me with time, but it’s just bonkers how fast everything is right now.

I think once Mythics open up it’ll get a little better, yeah. We’re all in the same pool right now, olympic swimmers and kids with floaties alike.

That is really only repharsing what i’m saying to make it sound like there is still participation. There isn’t an incentive to play 2’s over 3’s outside the difficulty of finding a 3rd person, reiterating my point.

Especially when solo shuffle is becoming as popular as it is and more prominent. That does not indicate a “booming” PvP environment. PvP is dead, and its not going to make a resurgence any time soon unless things drastically change. Its why the Royale was implemented as well.

If you do this and don’t stop and adjust when people pull aggro you are the problem. Your job is to pull and hold aggro… effectively. If you want to try a big giant pull like this make sure people know and you are all up for it

Tanks should get to set the pace but if you don’t communicate this pace and people die…it’s on you. You set it too fast. You didn’t manage the aggro. Your whole job is to make sure that the only way people die…is after you die.

I usually just /follow the healer as frost DK and then go get some coffee and a danish. If everyone is still alive when I get back, I start dps’ing…sloooowwwllllyyy.

you don’t need accommodations, you literally just need to stay near the tank. that’s it.

That can be an issue, though I don’t think it’s so much that the tank is overpulling as it is they’re being inconsistent or you were trigger happy.

I don’t condone this behavior, either. I’m all about agency (vote kicks) and big pulls, but if someone’s getting angry that something got chaotic in an entrance to boss pull in LFD, they’re just being silly. It’s gonna happen sometimes.

This is about residual aggro, yeah. Certain buffs and effects will generate threat, like interrupts. I think but don’t quote me that Windfury/Flametongue can generate a tiny bit of threat as well, but the times I’ve done it mid pull are pretty few and far between.

Buy a tractor and drink a beer while you drive around the front lawn for an hour before you realize the blades aren’t engaged and now need to go get gas.

It’s mostly just something to get used to.

It’s also only an issue when a tank specifically starts pulling again before the current pack is dead, because I can’t just remove my Arcane Splinters from existing mobs and they’ll continue to tick with that chance to fire an orb.

Otherwise splinters don’t get applied without direct damage.

Captain Garrick’s the best tank.

To hell with the rest of ya.

Careful man, you boutta put DPS on minecraft watch.

(But legit, noticed it too, then they cry they died?)

This is a pet peeve of mine. I won’t ever say something about it, but it’s not a style of pulling I like even remotely.

I keep up just fine, but the healer… not so much.

damn u must have bad rng for pugs. as a prot main tank all i have to do is thunder clap and every mob is on me even if i move away.

I resemble this remark.
