The way to make people stop staring. Get on your pig mount get behind them and press the space bar. They will try to get away from you 9 out of 10 times

On another note how do I deselect a targeted player who’s mog I am inspecting? I mean other than quickly clicking on my pet or nearby npc? Lol thanks! :slight_smile:

If someone keeps you targeted for a long time they’re either inspecting your gear or transmog (potentially writing down item names), or they WERE doing one of those things and just haven’t bothered to un target you yet. Which isn’t that weird if they’re not in a combat situation and you’re still nearby.

Just looking at the transmog. Don’t take it personally. (also sometimes I forget I’m still clicked on people especially when I’ve wandered off from my computer. Lol)

Do you have sticky targeting on? You can deselect targets by clicking anywhere if you have it turned off, or by hitting escape if you have it on.

You can change sticky targeting to unsticky in your interface controls, if you like.

Sometimes people are tabbed out, and then click back on the screen and you got hit unintentionally. Don’t take it personally and don’t feel insulted. Probably most of the time it’s accidental. Or someone could be inspecting your gear for transmogs (if that shows when inspecting). And if you stay targeted by them for a while, well maybe they are just not doing anything in game and not worried about changing their target, like AFK.

Lastly, remember that it’s a game, not RL, so you are just a few pixels on someone’s screen, and none of us are really that important that it should worry you.

I don’t know if anyone is looking at my character, let alone staring. I suppose if I target them, and see that they have me targeted, but I don’t do that unless I want to see what gear or mount they have.
