If I have you in my sights for more then a few seconds it means

  1. You have a really cool transmog and I am checking it out or
  2. I am afk and forgot to look somewhere else (more likely) :slight_smile:

I like to stare at the character, then slooooooowly keyboard turn around it so now Iā€™m looking at the backā€¦

I giggle if people notice.

I mainly target people if:

  1. Iā€™m giving them a buff.
  2. They look like they may be in trouble fighting mobs so I check their health to see if they may need help.

On rare occasions Iā€™ll check a mog or mount but I tend not to focus on someone too long.

I too hate it when people stare at me in game for my character model. We trolls canā€™t help that everyone else has jungle fever. Just stare at their characters in the forums like civilized people.

I confess to targeting people to see what corruption effects they have on their gear, but mostly when itā€™s starting to affect their transmog appearance. I want to see how many people lucked into infinite stars since I got it on a druid but NOT this character.

you ever get that thing where you target someone to inspect but then they target you so you untarget and log out and cancel your sub and move to alaska

It was way more awkward when invite and inspect were right next to each other in the UI.

So many whispers of ā€˜Whoops, didnā€™t mean to invite, only inspect you hahaā€™

Now Iā€™ve definitely heard it allā€¦ complaining about a character staring at another character in a game. Maybe you should file sexual harassment in a real court.

No one is ā€œstaringā€. They are looking to see what gear you have, the mount you are riding, maybe selecting you for a toy, and/or forgot to cancel your profile. A lot of times people will not be afk per se, but will minimize / re-open the window periodically while standing in one place. Especially on rare bosses.
