Nah. No real reason to.
I blame the game’s state solely on the Diablo 3 developers they brought onto the team. The Diablo influence on WoW has been a disaster imo. These guys don’t understand MMOs at all.
You’re dead wrong about that. They don’t want to communicate with the players because they don’t give crap about their players. Look at all the beta feedback they totally ignore.
So even when they ask players to communicate with them they act like they don’t exist.
Meh, I don’t blame them when most of the complaints are pretty much this.
Because that’s what customer service essentially is. That’s part of what you do. ALL businesses have to deal with cranky, dissatisfied customers.
Blizzard thinks their games are so special they can cut corners however they want and people will still play their games. That only works for so long. Remember when they had an actual person try to talk to you in WOD if you cancelled your sub? I do. It’s as if they had no idea why people were leaving by the millions.
"Speaking at the CNBC Evolve LA Conference, Kotick revealed that Activision Blizzard has “350 million customers in 190 countries,” but “there is not a good reason why that number shouldn’t be a billion in the next five years.”
The plan, according to Kotick, is to take their current franchise and grow them on new platforms. "
That didn’t even go over well in the Asian market Blizzard was trying to appeal to.
It’s almost as if they have no idea what their player base wants. Wonder what they could do to fix that.
They don’t understand MMOs or MMORPGs in general. Most of the diablo like systems have been a disaster for the game. I honestly don’t understand how they don’t see how most of it does not translate to the WoW experience IMVHO.
Blizzard/WOW/Diablo are the only place I feel the devs act like they are above their player base, know best, and refuse to interact in any meaningful way. The only, developer to meet fanbased boos with a smile and snarky response.
People like the game and hate to see its decline.
I think a lot of us would just like blizzard to go back to the group of neckbeard gamer nerds it once was and less westcoast elite knowitalls it currently is.
Yup can confirm, worked in banks and now in emergency services. The amount of people who call for the most imbecilic reasons is too damn high.
Pepega voice: “Oh my power went out should I speak with The Police, The Fire or The Ambulance?”. None you old dumbo, call your goddam electrical provider and ask them why there’s a power outage!
It’s kind of hard not to hate the people you provide a service for.
Wow has pretty much been ripping other games off for years. They used to just take things that failed in other games, rework them and make them good.
Palace of the dead was super boring. I dont care that wow ripped it off, if they can make it interesting then thats back to wows MO of ripping off other ideas and making them fun. However, if they put as much effort into it as they put into warfronts its going to be just as bad.
Its funny they think that way to. They didnt make the game to begin with.
They were trying to bring the game into the modern ages. I don’t fault them for trying. MMO’s have to change with the times like anything else.
No one has to put up with abuse. If someone can’t express their dissatisfaction in a civil manner and just want to rage, they aren’t worth keeping as customers.
Maybe it’s more that they have so many players who all want their own thing that it is impossible to please them all and no matter which way they go they are going to anger a certain percentage of people.
I always laugh when people comment about how casuals or listening to casuals ruined retail, but the reality is that Blizzard straight up ignored years of feedback when they rolled BFA out.
They designed BFA for themselves and no one else, and that is how we have the worst expansion the game has seen.
I keep hearing this over and over.
I’m going to be checking out FFXIV for the next couple weeks.
I also hear Warframe is on par with GW2 and FF14.
I mean, people have been saying for years that the only thing that will kill WoW is WoW itself. But to be honest… i don’t see WoW dying anytime soon. There are two many people addicted to it, and too much time has been invested to start over again. Another MMO would have to astronomically outclass WoW to get people to drop it at this point.
that right wow devs are the wow killers.
It really depends what gameplay of the two game fits your style. FFXIV is a good replace for WoW considering many WoW players went over there during WoD - BFA. I know level 1 - 50 is boring, but afterwards it gets better kind of like getting passed vanilla WoW levels. I am not sure about the catch up game, but seeing how they got vendors to get your gear level up. Perhaps it’s fairly easy, but It’s been awhile since I have played that even though I am level 70 there.
It has a lot of storytelling, but overall the game is nice once you passed the vanilla levels.
I have never played Warframe, but GW2 is forever a comfortable game to play. The pvp is relaxing and isn’t hectic like WoW. I play a condition damage warrior meaning specialized in dot damage. I recently gotten back into and when I saw my last match history for pvp. It was 8/21/2015 and so much has changed to the point they took away my favorite warrior trait falling from high places creating a crater when landing.
Any enemies who are near you will take massive damage depending on the fall.
Pretty much and WoD was really the first shine. Pathfinder nonsense to fly and then this toxic essence grind really killed the mood for players play on other alts. Then you have the defenders saying you have to put work into, but I know for sure they don’t like it as well and rather play devil’s advocate. When the community and youtubers who represent the product are singing the same song about pathfinder and essences being account wide. You know the developers messed up.
If they can just make essences account wide where alts can just be the same level as main considering the amount of work the main did. Many players will come back to play around on alts and that’s what the developers should be focusing, but they’re kind of stubborn which is sad. I say stubborn because this been going on since Legion expansion. It shouldn’t take another expansion to realize something is wrong with your concept.
And those are just the vocal people, the silent majority thinks that essences are a dumb rehash of artifact traits / Argus thing which were both dumb originally.
How do you know what the silent majority thinks? Did they tell you?
Because, I have played this game for 15+ years, and I have hundreds of people I am friends with online and in real life that almost 100% mutually agree that the game systems that have been introduced in WoD/Legion/BFA have done nothing to help the game and have in fact hurt it.
The fact that vulpera are being added as a playable race and it seems the majority of people on the forums are happy about it is pretty much proof positive that the demographic of this game has changed from “MMO player” to “I look at pictures of naked fox people”
I am the silent majority
