They could fix a lot (but not all) of this all by having the transmog button actually reward transmog.
The funny thing is, there is a Blizzard support article (that is still up on the Support site) that says:
“You may only roll Need on an item if your class can equip it and it is considered an upgrade”.
They really need to update their support articles…
WoW is unplayable if you don’t have a guild that is active.
You can make whatever rules you want in your own lala world. Doesn’t mean reality reflects that.
Try arguing against the points. You won’t actually “win” but you may actually learn something which is worth more than the air in the empty slot in your bag where that weapon still isn’t.
True, this makes pugging suboptimal, which is probably good for guilds looking to recruit.
Tell me. What are the reasons for the specific rolls as the options for when gear drops? Why do those specific ones exist?
The rewards they can get is the loot they get from the boss whether it be coins for the anniversary event or whatever it may be.
For many years in WoW it has been a thing there’s been a system in place where you can not roll on LOWER ILEVEL gear than you currently have.
This is the problem I am pointing out because it is only recent that it’s become a problem. The fact that people can’t see that truly bewilders me. Not once have I ever entered a raid on a more geared character and felt as if I was owed the piece of gear that I rolled on that I didn’t even need.
The fact that anyone actually has this mindset shows me the level of idiocy that exists in the world and it’s extremely frustrating.
It’s perfectly playable if you don’t insist on inspecting others and thinking you’re more deserving of loot than them.
You changed what I had said. Tell me. Why did you do that? Because you are continuing to try and insult me because you don’t know what you’re actually talking about. Again. Thanks for the W.
Well, guilds were the backbone of the game and gave wow it’s sticking power for the longest time.
People stuck around though the various content droughts and bad patches in 3.3, 5.4, 6.x, 8.0-8.3, 9.x, because it’s fun to play the game with friends in a guild.
Thing is, people could get around that. If they are after a sword, all they would have to do is put their sword in their bank, get a weapon of a lower level than the sword they want and equip that. If I can figure that out, anyone else could.
You keep saying this, but I sure can’t remember it. Got a source?
Depends. If you wanna actually run keys COMFORTABLY and have a chance clearing Heroic and Mythic raid, you need a guild. Absolutely no debate.
Thank you. And this is precisely why I am trying to point it out because it has been broken for a long time and it’s been really frustrating to deal with.
This issue that I am trying to bring up has happened to me probably hundreds of times at this point. I don’t complain about it every time but the fact that it keeps happening is why I end up getting so frustrated about it.
That person did the same fight you did! You are no more deserving of the loot than them!
They’re probably getting confused by the PL trading restriction, where you couldn’t trade gear that was an ilvl upgrade, even if you really wanted to and were never going to equip it.
That’s true. These complaints are generally from queued content though.
Okay so from now on I’m just going to start hitting Need roll on every piece of gear I see simply because it could benefit me in whatever way I see fit. Awesome logic you’ve got there.
That’s the nature of dealing with ppl in raids OP, it’s why I don’t do them… well one of the reasons.
Because everyone participated. You don’t get to pick and choose who gets gear.
Allow for people to hit a transmog button to 100% guarantee the appearance is added to their collections, while allowing those who want the gear piece itself to still roll need against others for the gear piece itself.
Go right ahead.
It’s LFR, the gear is garbage compared to other sources that are far more plentiful (delves).
