Seeing ppl advertise wanting to buy carries in arena.
Its literally buying ilvl. Which is buying power. Which is p2w.
Blizzard couldnt just sell ilvl on the blizz store so they instead just allow their top pvp players to sell the ilvl to players instead and rake in the token cash.
Its devious. Its toxic. Its negatively affecting rated pvp. This aint just buying achis anymore, this is buying raw ilvl upgrades.

Wait, that’s something that’s exclusive to this expansion? If you’re sore about losing to carries, that’s one thing. But people being carried isn’t something new.
Yeah, but this expansion has been the most its been P2W hence more carries, more gear disparity and the total ignorance on the blizz balance team (adjusting FDK when Hpal and WW monks exist) makes it that much worse than it already is.
Its about ilvls now.

yeah once i hit 1800-1850 mmr every other game is someone being carried and the gear difference is just too high. Why does 2100 gear make such a difference. 6 item levels. it barely needs to be better for people to want it. Screw this pve gear in pvp

All conquest gear should be upgraded to max ilevel in arenas/bgs. Easy fix.

also the amount of challenger players SEVERELY outnumber r1/2700 players so there is literally no way you are queueing into carries every game
Ok so umm they arent when the carrier is a 226+233 wep player carrying an average player.

the player they are carrying is higher than they would be without the carry
they are below average for the rating theyre playing at
And the 228ilvl of the other person who could probably 2v1 is more than making up for that lack of skill

I hate it to break it to you but people have been paying for mythic raid gear and M+ carries for as long as those systems have existed.
Heck even in vanilla WoW (and the classic servers we have now) you saw guilds selling off raid gear once they had their fill. MC / BWL gear sales were incredibly common.
Almost all gear sold is for ilvl upgrades, people wouldn’t be paying gold for them if they weren’t.
Well, it’s been 3 months since release, still no Mistweaver fixes / adjustments, and I really want the 1600 leather boots for transmog.
Going to try to get there before the season ends, but if it doesn’t work out, I’m paying for a carry.
Yeh and people in raids and M+ arent pvping eachother for rating… its apples and oranges dude.
This is a competative rated pvp environment and those carries can effect other people. Pve doesnt efect other people.
Plenty of PvE gear has been used for PvP purposes over the course of the game. Literally think about every Legendary ever pre-Legion, and multitudes of PvE trinkets.
Even now, quite a few of the best in slot Vers pieces come from the current mythic raid.
