People leaving keys is a BIG problem. New NOTE system

do we need to have a chat about your tmog? I think you need some intervention.

Most people learned by trying, failing, trying some more and eventually succeeding. You implied that no one that hasn’t already gone through that learning process should do so now.

Just kinda reinforces what’s been stated several times on these forums; the worst thing you can do in modern wow is fall behind the curve. If you aren’t there on wk1, don’t bother and for something like learning dungeons it “if u miss the .0 learning era, you’re out till next expansion.

I wonder if there could be some way that Blizzard could put in a Pause for the run if someone left and give the group the opportunity to fill the position somehow. Im not sure how, Im not much into M+ but, well, its a thought…

I like the idea of a percentage of keys left. There could be a bailout option people could agree to if they legitimately cannot complete the key that wouldn’t affect their %.

Had someone leave a 20 spires literally during the last boss because they realized we would miss it by 30s. It was io for the other 4 people.

30-40 minutes gone for no reason. That’s unacceptable - 100% there should be punishment for that behavior.

it’s been said multiple times. And it’s more problematic than it’s worth. What’s stopping people to kick the person in the group and take their friend right at the last boss?

Yeah, that won’t be abused.

I think they more mean “when they use it” as in, the key won’t deplete until the dungeon finishes.

So if the group disbands, your key doesn’t deplete. But if you don’t make the timer, it will.

And no, this wouldn’t cause full 262+ gear in one week lol.

so when YOU leave keys they should take your name down and exclude you?

Raider io should log keys you start, and you can cross reference that with keys you finish to see a completion %

great idea this will kill m+ even more.

Because its room for abuse. Imagine booting someone to invite a friend…it will happen. Many many times. “Sorry, guildie logged on and needs a spot, kicking you”.

People don’t read quests atm and you want to implement a system that’d have them read notes?

They’d just click Yes every time!

I’d rather not have a system that could easily allow players to be brigaded and effectively blacklisted by RIO?

And yet, we pugged harder heroic dungeons in TBC. The problem wasn’t random groups. The problem was they dumbed down dungeons in WotLK and then simultaneously increased difficulty and nerfed healing in Cata. Players waltzed in expecting to AoE everything down. Healers literally couldn’t keep the tanks up for lack of throughput and nobody had their CC buttons on their bars. It ended… poorly.

I think a queueing system up to +6 when there’s only one affix to deal with would work out fine. The main problem with a queue for M+ would be the usual problem that dogs all random groups. Tank shortages.

That wouldn’t work. If the timer gets close, players would just all leave. The system is designed to give you one try, not indefinite ones.

That’s the whole point lol. Isn’t it fabulous :sparkles:

I’m starting to see this as well. Had a couple leave right before the last boss recently that weren’t going smooth but still easily timed. One where a healer rage quit because the tank wasn’t that experienced and another where a tank rage quit because the healer couldn’t keep them up on YOLO necrotic pulls.

Third wipe where they tried to combine packs and we were still looking like we could 2 chest it. But they just had to keep beating their head on that wall to get the big DPS pull even though they had more than enough evidence that the healer couldn’t handle it.

Perhaps by making it that it doesnt work if someone is kicked but only if they choose to leave? Most of the complaints here seem to be about people who quit groups rather than those who are kicked.

So then when someone wants to leave they just afk and wait for the kick. Its the same as leaving but wastes more of everyone’s time
