Raider IO add on should have a NOTE system in which takes 4 members of the group to approve a message onto a player. You can not only see a player’s IO score, but also read the notes. This is happening over and over and over ever since Mythics have been introduced.
Oh, that’s an interesting take! I haven’t seen this before but I agree that any note would need validation by more than one person.
Remember that the community is what it is so we need to plan for the worst things we can think of. What if, for example, a group of four heartless guildies invite people to their 2s over and over (2s do not delevel), start the key, kick the person, and all agree to the note, “This person was so rude and awful, pulled extra mobs frequently, cussed out the healer, and ragequit?” I feel like this would probably ruin the chances of that person doing any more pugs, which is exactly why some people would do it.
I had a +18 spires key that I put up, this one priest whispered me to invite him and I invited. I put the key in, soon as the mythic started, he left the group and hearthed out. How is this not intentional? The tank wasn’t even halfway to the first mob when he left the group. This should be against the rules.
I agree that this case should be against the rules, that’s legit trolling without giving the group a chance. With what they have seen of the group, they could have left before the key was put in.
IMO leavers in the 10 second bubble have no reason, but I’m not surprised.
Also, I usually don’t invite anyone who whispers me and I recommend you don’t either. 9/10 they’re whispering me because they feel entitled to get into my key and entitlement isn’t conducive to success in M+. 1/10 they forgot to put something in the note which is nbd.
Bad idea. Too open to abuse.
In my experience, the people leaving often have a very good reason to do so. Typically incompetence, or the key level being stronger than the teams gear and/or skill level.
If you don’t want leavers, build a crew to run m+ with.
There’s no way for your client to send info to raider IO.
There could be some room for Blizzard to track a left keys stat and then allow Raider IO and players to do what they want with that info, but it is pretty delicate and probably easy to abuse.
The most likely outcome would be it would be even harder to get into keys and get players into your group if you don’t have good stats because people aren’t going to want to risk getting held hostage in a key that’s getting failed hard by one unprepared player.
This is a dumb reason. There have been way too many complaints. There have been too many threads made complaining about leavers. When you have this many complaints, there is a problem that needs to be addressed. It’s not just a few people that have this issue. A good chunk of people that do mythics have this complaint.
Just because you are lucky in that you have a core group, does not mean everyone does. Most people that do mythics do not have a core group for a number of reasons.
I don’t have a core group. I pug almost all of my keys. Occasionally my guild will run one but those aren’t the runs that are raising my io score.
The only times I’ve had people leave is when someone has completely effed up the key because they aren’t ready for that particular challenge. In most of those cases, the player(s) got multiple chances before someone left. Sometimes that incompetent player was me.
If you’re going to join a team challenge as a pugger, you have to understand that this is essentially a blind date. Have you never ended a blind date early?
Why not create a system where if you are the first person to leave, you lose rating depending on the level key you left. It’s clear at this point that the people who leave keys aren’t going to be the ones to push through, do they not realize you get rating (if they key is higher level than the one you’ve done before) and possibly gear at the end? You literally ruin the entire experience for the rest of the people who want to get loot and rating? I believe from that, you should lose some of your M+ rating.
Whats to stop those 4 ppl from trolling somebody they pugged into their run?
note: “low on interrupts”
forever marked and ignored by future groups
I guess never be the 5th for a guild group to keep yourself safe!
Nope. No accommodations should be made of any sort for m+. Those are the chances you take when you do that kind of content. The best way to avoid such things is to not do them until they change m+ to your liking. Which is the route I have chosen.
Semper Fi!
Didn’t they already solve for this in Overwatch? Why not just use the same system?
IRL emergencies happen, Not everyone will forsake family just to make a key. Really blizz needs to take away depleting keys and just have an open que that matches using in game player raidio and with a match making that averages your highest to lowest key completed.
If there was a que system you could also burn someone if they left early and force them to carry 5 lower keys.
There is a “sabotage” option for reporting datamined in the next patch.
Not necessarily. You as the key holder have 100% control over who you invite to your key. If you decide you do not want to put in the work and vet out people, then the risk is 100% on you.
I’m pretty sure Blizz could add something to the personal rating section that shows the number of times a person left a group first before the key was completed, giving people an idea if they want to invite them or not.
The overall percentage would be low compared to the total number of dungeons, but it would still reflect on the person at least.
The data means nothing in a void though.
We would also need personal notes on things such as:
doesn’t interrupt
garbage player
terrible attitude
troll
refuses to heal
etc.
