People just want to tank and spank everything

Your “point” loses all validity once you generalize as you have. I could go on, but I shall be an adult about it and just punt you away.

As a mage I take it upon myself to not only mark priority targets but also sheep, frost nova agro so tank can pick em up, and even watch for pats and mark them so we can keep track of them. Not everyone is braindead :sunglasses:

How can you call someone else a baby after you’re admitting you’re gonna tattle like a child? And why are your posts vindictive? You need a hug or something?

Oh hardly. But if someone is going to leave for silly little reasons like that it’s everyones job within the server to be honest about their behavior so others may know.
If you have a healer thats perfectly fine with the antics of tanks/dps and the tank leaves because he’s not getting what he wants out of “his” run. Then bye felicia. When the other tank comes on and asks “what happened” in order to assess whether or not the group was splintered it’s everyones duty to simply be honest

You wouldn’t want to be in a group with someone you know is having baby like behavior only to sit there in the middle of the dungeon waiting for someone else to hop on. Stop it at the source.

I like to leave a osht frost trap in front of the healer, and hang out back next to them. 360 awareness and try to pull agro off the healer with my pet or my damage. There is more to the fun of dungeon runs than damage meters.

I agree with your post that dps need to act as a group with the healer and tank. Dps do NOT dictate a damn thing in groups, tanks and healers do. It takes teamwork to make the group work. Rogue dps (going rogue not the class rogue) deserve the boot.

Most groups I’ve been in just pull and aoe very few have bothered to mark anything but I’ll throw a poly on the moon if its marked for sure.

Oh I thought you meant if the tank leaves for any reason. Not wanting to have their time wasted is a valid reason, so you need to first check and see if whatever the group is doing is wasting time, if you’re REALLY being honest.

Death = waste of time.
Having to drink all the time = waste of time.
Pulling random crap for a tiny bit more xp = arguably a waste of time.

Exactly! Gotta keep a look out and do the dungeon RIGHT rather than FAST. I fully expect dungeons to take over an hour before I even start looking for a group. That’s perfectly fine with me, it’s the slow methodical journey that is fun with good people, not erh ma gerd gogogogogogooooooooo. OP just got some bad apples. Plenty of people out there know what’s up!

A couple deaths after pulling 3-4 packs at once = Worth the time
Me sitting and drinking to full after pulling 3-4 packs at once = Worth the time
(because honestly if I spend money on water in this game I’m not using it it liberally, if you want to be slow thats fine but if you’re also worryed about be sitting at half mana because I’m not wasting money then make it worth it and drain be down to empty)
Pulling random crap = I dont care just bring it with the rest of the pack so it can be downed faster

That’s the only response you’re gonna get from me.

Read and comprehend what I’m typing. Pulling random crap for a TINY BIT MORE xp is a waste of time. You changed it to “3-4 packs”.

A couple deaths is a waste of time no matter what. Like if you tried to AOE down packs and died twice, I would leave.

Try forming your own groups and advertise that it will be a chill run, not an AoE cleave fest. It’s ok to want to do the runs normally, and it’s ok to want a bit of CC to help you manage adds and threat. You’re also not the only one who wants to play this way.

Trust me, with the amount of people looking for tanks, you’ll still be able to find groups. I would encourage you to still be patient with people though… many folks are just fine with this style of play, but they may not know how it all works.

Thinking that matters is sad and you should feel bad. It gives zero credit to one’s post as they could still be right while posting on a retail character and still be a massive troll on their classic character. Thinking posting on classic character means a damn thing is such backward thinking it’s mind boggling. I feel bad for you.

See? Trolling from classic character. Point proven.

You’re saying it doesn’t matter, So then…

WHY is fast always the answer? I know it exists, but I don’t understand. Just make your own groups if you must pug, then state at the outset in a neutral tone that it is going to be a traditional dungeon group; not crawling along wasting the whole evening away, but utilizing class abilities and completing quests if any etc. Those who want the ‘skim-the-top’ experience will find another group and those who understand what you mean will stay and have a great time! *Good journeys out there!

This is a real issue in many groups I’ve been in.

As the tank of my groups I dictate the actions of the group. I determine flow of the run and what and when things need to be cc’ed. I have rarely had any issues minus the odd bad apple that easily gets filtered out.

I also tend to prioritize playing with friends/guildies so that makes things alot smoother/better
