People are using an AFK low level to boost in dungeons. I reported it as communication since there’s no longer a ‘cheating’ option and picked boosting as the option…
People are using an AFK low level to boost in dungeons. I reported it, but doubt they’ll do anything… Dude was just standing at entrance the entire dungeon, I thought hey maybe he had to brb, so we finished SM, requed… he immediately readied up. So… it’s just an afk guy who has his friends go into random dungeon finder for him in order to boost him, while he does nothing. The group wasn’t even good, either. Tank was druid with 400+ ilvl and died twice from pulling too much and standing in AOE…
This definitely violates the integrity of the game and fairness
Is this about remix dungeon farm?
It’s not cheating. They are multiboxing 2 chars, one is AFKing, lvl 20 twink runs through dungeon in 2 minutes, free stuff and exp. How on earth is this cheating?
Happened to me last night and instead of ranting about it on forums I actually lvled my char from 20-70 in less than 2 hours.
You cant make things up and expect others to play by your rules.
I’m sorry but are you seriously suggesting that it’s not cheating to AFK in dungeons systematically for XP? With that logic, can I go AFK dungeons systematically to because I simply want to level? It’s fair, right?
This is exactly how things are made to be against the rules, by setting precedent. Many rules have changed over time, don’t know why you’re upset about that specifically?
I don’t actually know any rule that it would violate. Being AFK is not against the rules. Vote the player out or leave the group. Additionally, you can put them on ignore and no longer be grouped with them in LFD/LFR
Sorry, but since it’s not against the rules, I have trouble believing that happened. Anyone can AFK and simply be kicked by the group. It’s not a good thing to do, but it’s also not against the rules. None that I’ve ever heard of at least.
If you have trouble believing that happened, then you clearly have not been playing Pandaria Remix much, if at all. 1 in every 4 dungeons (if you’re lucky) will have a lvl 20 priest boosting 2 AFK people that just sit at the entrance without doing anything. The booster will pull the entire dungeon more or less, and won’t care about anything else. Most of the time they will instantly leave after they kill the last boss, and the entire dungeon rains down on you.
And the best part? You can’t vote AFK because there’s a lockout timer of ~3 minutes and the dungeon is done before reaching that time limit. So you’re stuck running for your life and trying not to hit anything, hoping you´ll be able to loot bosses (because if you’re too far away, you can’t loot them). Sounds to me that if Blizzard sells level boosts, then AFK level boosting should be banned.
If you have feedback, it’d be better suited outside of the CS forum. But to be frank, someone afking inside of a dungeon isn’t against the rules, not someone rushing to finish the dungeon to do it isn’t against the rules.
I’ve been playing Remix almost exclusively. I think I’ve seen a few AFKers in raids, maybe. My experience has been level 70 tanks, maxed out, speed running, killing everything.
Put the AFKers on ignore and you won’t get grouped with them.
I’ve been playing a lot of Remix and the whole time, I’ve seen one character afk at the entrance. Not against the rules, but we kicked them.
I’ve seen lots of geared people run the dungeon so fast that those of us who don’t have as much speed, and stop to loot, get so far behind that we don’t qualify for loot from some bosses. I think this is rude, but it’s not against the rules either.
