are you playing in 2009? I have news for you, even casual players are sitting at 4k GS and it’s extraordinarily easy to reach that value regardless. Dungeon gear is meaningless, there is no ‘elite few’ outside of ‘immortal’ and 99 parsing, and even that’s contentious.

That is already well known. The whole anti-RDF thing is just gatekeeping. There is a large percentage of players who only enjoy the game when they have things other players do not. Anything that makes less people have things is an improvement.

absolutely. the people on forums trolling consistently to keep rdf out of the game are also the people demanding ulduar only be accessible to 4.2k+ gearscore people. same people that told everyone if you rolled DK, there was 0% chance youd be allowed into any raid. Same people that dont want anyone to have access to arena. Their lives are just sad and pathetic and this is the only form of power they feel they have at all. There is literally 0 reason anyone should care what others are doing in a video game when it has no effect on them whatsoever. These people only interact with their own guilds anyways, dont level new characters, and pretty much spend all their time afking in dalaran or farming mats for gold. They probably arnt even having fun anymore and dont want anyone else to enjoy the game either

Look, I am totally pro RDF but we don’t need to make up reasons why most people who are against it don’t want it.

I got every survey and RDF was never on any and even if there was a rdf survey it would of been leaked to show it existed.

Unless you think blizzard went to random players houses and surveyed them and made them sign a NDA.

Connected realms? Are you referring to the cross-realm dungeon finder? Because that’s all that Wrath added in that regard. And there were cross-realm bgs since Vanilla.

I think both those additions were terrible, btw. The last time I really cared about pvp was before patch 1.12 after which point pvp just became about killing and fighting alongside strangers. And the dungeon finder in Wrath destroyed the pve community that LFR finished off in the next expansion. But sadly it’ll be in Wrath since they just use the last patch and every system that existed at the end of the expansion. But out in the open world at least it’s just you and your fellow server players.

Originally the game kind of forced you to be social. You had to group up. You had to make friends. And Blizzard removed all that over the years. Starting really with the Dungeon Finder in Wrath.

WoW just became a lobby game where you queue up for things, join random strangers, do your thing, and move on. Never see or talk to them again. There’s literally no reason to communicate with anyone outside of Mythics. Other players might as well be bots. I don’t know how anyone calls WoW an mmorpg anymore. They’ve completely forsaken the mmo audience.

And it was sad to see that same warped audience infect Classic. Especially after TBC’s boost, which brought them in even bigger droves. They treat it like Retail. Just look at the forums. I guess that was inevitable. The community makes an mmo, and the community is nothing like it was back in the day. And it’s the devs’ fault for the direction they took this game. But it is what it is and it’s not going to change.

Seriously…no one cares about you pre-raid bis or whatever the gear you have, no one is feeling superior or “Elite” just because you have trouble getting into max lvl 5man.

The only Elite are those speedrunning guilds imo and that’s like less than 1% of the population, it’s a niche and it’s not required at all to succeed in this game.

quest completions (I still have all 4 of my normal nexus quests sitting in my logs taking up space) …

Of course not, you can’t. With random BGs, I can queue up for BGs unimpeded; and, it’s the reason I’m sitting fully capped on all honor related things. I can do BGs anytime I want, and join them when and how I choose to.
