People acting as if WOTLKC was ruined

I don’t think they were even there. I see so many things getting said about wrath that make no sense. They’re either arguing to argue, or they weren’t there to see how we went from sitting around twiddling our thumbs to grinding heroics overnight.

While I agree, that’s not the world we live in anymore. Players are selfish now. It’s rare to find people who are willing to do stuff that doesn’t have anything in it for them.

Because you’re arguing from a position that literally would not change if they kept RDF in the game against people whose game literally would change if they kept RDF in the game.

There is no bridge to gap because you’re not losing anything either way, people who enjoy RDF are.

Fun is subjective. Who are you to say RDF isn’t fun for anyone?

Arguing the future of a game, however, is intellectually honest. You have absolutely no idea if ICC will only be the final 25% of the game, there’s been no mention of Cataclysm Classic even.

For all we know right now, WotLK Classic could turn into WotLK Era and last forever.

But go on, call people names.

You mean the time where you actually play the content that was added?

What a curious argument.

They’re aiming at the idea that not everyone will have access to these 2 frost emblems cause tanks and healers can only help 3 dps per day without RDF.

Every single other dps who doesn’t get into the very limited groups that have tanks and healers available will struggle to keep up with the select few dps who get to do the heroic daily every day.

It’s going to lead to cliques in guilds and communities and there’s not a damned thing you can ever do to catch up if you’re not in a certain clique.

The implementation of RDF as it was back in OG Wrath does affect 100% of the playerbase.

Seeing how RDF seems to be game-breaking for some people, I did propose a compromise in another post (link below) in an effort to show an openness to some of the challenges these players face. If Blizz was to implement a compromise like this (which they showed no openness to…), then I would agree with the “Don’t want it? Don’t use it” argument.

Yep it was a huge improvement in gameplay for most people.

And the option for people who want to manually form their groups still exists.

Everyone wins.

…b-b-but manual groupers won’t have a captive audience of people who are forced to group in the same way they are!!

Translation: “Players won’t be required to buy their way into my group!”

and thats the foundation for the anti rdf argument, they lose gatekeeping. they talk about social interaction (which there isnt any in LFG) and they talk about immersion(which nobody is stopping them from getting on a flight path to travel to the dungeon while they have their bio break or get a drink) their concern is loss of control

Well… i proposed a compromise, but when people reacts like that it’s almost as if they prefer the route Blizz took and not have any form of auto grouping features. I guess you can keep that attitude and stick with their LFG tool…

i saw your compromise but it gives you all you want but only one thing the other side wants, not much of a compromise. why not just take the rewards away and leave the rest. nobody i know used rdf for rewards anyway.

The compromise I proposed in the other post was largely to try and prevent people (the minority of people who actually will) from gate keeping…

That stupid teleport… If I had to fly to every dungeon I wouldn’t care because a group was waiting at the end. It’s only an issue because you guys make it one. I would gladly give up it. The teleport is a complete non-factor.

Most people are fine with some changes to RDF as long as it can still address the problems it addresses. But since blizzard refuses to discuss the issue it’s RDF or nothing.

Well, that’s why I opened a discussion around making a compromise that would address gate keeping classes and spec but was quickly met with “It’s all or nothing” types of answers…

It’s a garbo compromise, sorry lol

Yup, exactly what I meant… no openness for discussion xD LFG tool it is for all.

Your compromises are non starters. I could care less if I get bagged rewards, I could care less if I get ported, I could care less what realm people come from. Those things aren’t real issues.

Or we just ignore your trash compromise and continue to voice dissatisfaction with Blizzard’s decision… that sounds good to me lol

There’s no reason to try to compromise when you’re just bidding against yourself

Well if you don’t care about these things, but I do, then it seems we could in fact find a compromise where you get what you seem to want and I preserve what I’m trying to preserve? no?
