Penance is the scorpid poison of healing

Well I’ve seen geared Rogues and Warriors absolutely evaporate Priests, trinket psychic scream and it’s good night for them.

I always feel like healers are generally in vulnerable spots, this could just be me as I’m bad, I’ve been opened on by a Rogue, it was over in seconds :joy:.

Maybe another reason for faction classes to not be exclusive helps with counter plays?.

Alliance absolutely know shamans are a little overtuned. They are way too tanky at the moment

This is kind of true, which is why I think prayer of mending needs to be nerfed into the ground. If you look at the healing meters, penance is number 2, quite a ways behind PoM.

I think it was a mistake to give priests PoM and penance, but since they did, this is my suggestion for a fix. If they use the PoM rune, then it should make PW:S incur a 1 min cooldown. It’s breaking pvp to have as much healing/absorb output as they have.

One thing I will say about the healing issue atm is that currently there is only one healing reduction ability in the game, troll priest racial for 20% reduced healing received.

Come phase two we will have Mortal Strike, Aimed Shot and Wounding Poison which changes a lot of the healing math. I mean if you had them now Penance would be ~300 healing over its full duration which isn’t much the write home about.

All of these calls for nerfs are based on PvP. Do you want heals to be weak in PvE? How does this benefit you exactly?

Priest are so much better than the other healers in pve as well.

Buffing other healers while nerfing disc wouldn’t change pve if done right

The main issue is penance and PoM cost basically no mana while also being incredibly strong.

On the other hand, If i lifebloom someone in a bg, i cant even tell its healing them.

Yah Pom regularly bounces all 5 times in the space of a global cooldown, healing everyone nearby to full, it’s so absurd

Nerf it! along with warriors and rogues - nerf em all since hunters get nerfed every week.

That’s neat. A priest needs to spec into a 2.5 sec cast time. So they don’t have that. This is applicable how?

My second character is a priest that just hit 14 or 15. The healing and mana from penance is ridiculous in my opinion.

Saying that you have to kill the healer devoid of all the other contextual factors is not fair. Why shouldn’t priests get a free +2000 healing on targets other than themselves, you just have to kill them right!?!??!? No, because they are sometimes being protected very well, peeled for, blessing of protection’d, and other strategies that make space for their toolkit to shine.

Why not let hunters have 3 pre-nerf scorpid yets, you just have to CC them!!!11!!1

What spell do Priests have that is healing for 2000? Or are you just bad and mad?

Aimed shot didnt become an ms effect until tbc, and wound poison functioned more like negative healing power, it wasnt a % reduction

Ah fair enough then. Even so while their may still need to be some adjustments I would imagine it should wait until we have those MS effects. Nerf them to hard now and they become completely useless once those effects are running around. It’s also another options for Blizzard to use the rune system to make those spells/ability have their MS effects as well if healing does become a big issue in pvp.

You see, the devs actually play priest, so everything is fine. Only hunters are a problem, clearly.

Or just tune them for level 25 now, and tune them again for level 40 to take into account ms effects. Its not uncommon for abilities to have different scaling at different level cutoffs

You know it can be interrupted, right?

Because the game isn’t balanced around pvp… no one cares what it does or doesn’t do in pvp.
