Have you enough funds within your account to also cover any taxes that your state or country may also include?
Have you tried with another bank account or with PayPal?
Are you also making sure all the details are correct when trying to make a purchase?
You’d want to rule out anything and everything from your end. You may also might want to get in contact with your bank incase of any transactions maybe blocked for any reason.
I tired too the buy a year sub and it woul not take the card tht has over 1500.00 dollars on it ??? I guess they dont want us to play there game anymore no problem I can do that>
This sounds like it might be a pre-paid card of sorts?
Reoccurring subs (which the year is) have to be bought using a debit or credit card. They have to be able to be rebilled which prepaid cards cannot be.
Try a different device/network/ browser. These are things that can help. Can you give us the message you are getting or tell us what the transaction history on your battle net account says.
Great idea ayukama. The blizz subscription system does not allow prepaid cards. The CC must be a standard visa/mc or other major CC carrier. Prepaid are allowed for blocks of time only.
Debit card, been used for wow sub before.
yes, removed then replaced payment method
yes, removed and reattached authenticator
It completes to the point it should, but goes back to payment screen without the transaction taking place. cleared caches all that jazz.
lowered my browser security settings just in case
no luck, is there a chance maintenance is screwing with it? can’t see what else is stopping it.
Maintenance with the game has no involvement or no contact with the payment systems, since it is 2 different systems running completely separately.
Only things I can think off is it is either the card or it is something from the bank.
Obviously you’re not the other person who seems to be using a prepaid gift card, so I won’t ask you this question. As I mentioned earlier: Do you have enough funds within your bank account to cover the subscription, plus taxes also based on your state or country. Correct me if I am wrong someone, but if in the United States, taxes won’t show up when trying to purchase until after you purchase.
US, yes it has funds it would have told me anywav, instead it told me …nothing and the payment wasn’t completed (obv)
Seems awfully odd to me that having a secure browser is basically useless when dealing with issues that include the most personal information web wide. Javascript is like sooo 1990 … lol
Ok if your not in the US, does you CC match the region you are in and does that match the region you battle net is registered to. Also are you using a VPN, that can cause an issue if the server detects a location anomaly. Like if your using a US VPN with an Aussie CC.
So, if it failed, then might need to look through this support article:
Your payment did not complete.
You will not be charged for incomplete orders. Your payment provider might hold the funds for a while, even after your order was canceled or failed. These holds of funds are called authorization holds and are a common banking practice. Your payment provider should release your funds shortly. Only your payment provider can remove an authorization hold.
Before you try again:
Clear the cache and cookies in your browser or try a different browser.
Nope no ignorance intended, just trying to cover all common issues. Glad there is a back up plan. Also don’t be afraid to send in a ticket using purchase failure. A GM might be able to see what’s going on.
