Payment for subscription failed

Hi,

I’m trying to purchase 1 month game time, but I keep getting an ‘internal’ error code.

Why is this happening?

I’m not seeing this, what exactly is happening? I don’t think you are getting as far as actually registering the order, usually I’ll see a failed attempt if that happens.

When you say sub for one month, is it an actual month to month sub, or trying to get 30 days of gametime, there is a difference, and two different areas that need billing information.

If it isn’t getting to the actual order stage, the usual first suspect is browser or program related. Maybe try a different browser, or even device, see if that helps. If your billing info has been in the system for some time, deleting that and putting it in fresh (even if it is the same) wouldn’t hurt, but in this case, not necessarily sure that will help either.

Yes, that does make me think this is program or browser related.

Do you have another device you could try, or at least a different browser? Also, some programs can block transactions - especially ones that use overlays. Something like this could also be being security blocked. Normally the overlay issue manifests as a spinning wheel that just never ends, but something to check.

I just tried it on another browser but it still won’t work. In fact, it won’t even let me save the card in my payment method settings. This is strange.

Might try Live chat once they open, Ninwe, see if Billing can spot any issues or give you more insight.

Nooo, I was hoping for a solution because I wanted to play now. Live chat won’t open for a while… :frowning:

Same thing has been happening to me for 3 days now. When I try to update my payment method because my card expired. I have tried: Firefox (addons disabled), Chrome (addons disabled), Microsoft Edge (no addons installed). I tried using my wireless phone as a hotspot, and tried with Chrome and Firefox on my phone using my wireless network (G4). I get the below message trying all of the above:

An internal error occurred. Try again a bit later. If you see this message repeatedly, let us know.

Have you tried on your phone’s cell data?

Herp derp, yep, you split it. It’s possible you might just need to give it some time. Maybe give your phone a reboot before trying on data again? I’m hesitant to recommend downloading a new web browser entirely, but I was able to get to inputting new credit card details on Opera, so maybe it’s worth a shot?

What part of the update method are you getting to before stalling? Have you tried removing the old data completely and trying to put the new data in fresh?

Same thing happening for me, been going on for 3-4 days. I was able to get a blizzard employee to give me 24 hours of game time when I used Live Chat, as I had a raid that night, but I did’t think in the long term :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s like you only read that one small blurb of mine that you quoted.

When I first reported it the agent said there were other reports so they gave me two days of game time. But now it’s three days later and I’m still getting the same error.

Same here. It will not let me subscribe. Tried two different credit cards. It did let me pre order Shadowlands and with that I got 30 days of game time. But when it redirected me to the add subscription page, adding the credit card failed

I also am having this same issue. I’ve tried different browsers, different computers, ad-blockers, no ad-blockers, cookies, cakes, pies, donuts and various other confectionery delights - all to no avail.

I even tried screaming at the monitor as loud as I could, but alas.

Seriously though, Blizz - You need to fix this.

I am having the same issue tried different browser all same zounds . I have enter 3 credit cards all same zounds. I have called my banks and all 3 say it is blizzard issue . I have been trying since Saturday to get my 6 month subscription.

I have tried multiple times to purchase a subscription through and I get a different error: “Heads up! Something went wrong. Select another payment method or try again later.”

I just used this card earlier today so i know it is not my side. I have deleted the payment method and re-added it but I receive the same error. This is a new card, not the one I was using previously. I just played yesterday so it has not been a long time, but any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

My husband and I are getting the same error and now neither one of us can play wow. We have used his card numerous times on wow and now we can’t play. I have put in 3 tickets with no reply.
