Apparently you don’t understand the gravity of the Activision lawsuits. This situation for Blizz is 100’s of times more severe.

I think you mean settlement not fine. Fines are decided by a court of law or similarly assigned authority. Settlements are worked out between disputing parties on a case.

I don’t believe the DFEH will be happy with a settlement at this stage. Litigation is the last resort for the DFEH once settlement talks break down. IMHO It’s a little too little too late for ATVI to solve this by paying off the DFEH.

Besides paying them off won’t be the end of ATVI’s legal troubles. As of this post they have the following in front of them (legally wise) :

• Equal Employment Opportunity Comission investigation
• National Labour Relations Board charge and investigation
• Shareholder lawsuit alleging they should of been informed of the ongoing DFEH investigations filed by the DFEH in October 2018
• Securities and Exchange commission investigation over the above as corporations are required to report the investigations to the SEC
• Pressure from the Better ABK , an proto-union made up of former and current Activision , Blizzard and King entertainment employees who have had said effectively “we don’t forget , we don’t forgive” and have committed to pursuing this until ATVI makes the changes the employees are requesting.

So in even in the event the DFEH is fine with settling … paying them off won’t make all this (points up to 5 bullet points) magically go away.

I have been following both the fratboy lawsuit and shareholder lawsuit. I have been checking the official online archive for the legal documents filed in front of the court. I’ve also been keeping an eye out for other lawsuit against Activision Blizzard. Neither of the lawsuits I’m tracking have gotten to any stage where ATVI , Activision Publishing or Blizzard have filed anything like a countersuit to my knowledge.

What is your evidence of this counter suit ?
Which court was it filed under ?
And do you have the case number of it ?
