Pay the damn fine

Come on blizzard just drop the countersuit, pay CA their blood money and this will all go away.

You are dragging this out and making fools of yourself with all this censorship that is just making everyone mad.

Ubisoft and riot paid the piper and no one talks about them, except when another company gets in trouble. After that they didn’t stupidly change anything in game just went on and people kept playing.

All you are doing is making yourself virtue woke for no reason, we know this is not Hello kitty island adventure, and what happens on game is not real life. Sure taking out names of bad devs is a good choice, but renaming things we will still refer to as the love rocket and the consorts is not going to change what you did at home.

And I get it, every company has its demons, Coke, Pepsi, Pfizer, delta airlines, the US government. I am not gonna boycott because it doesn’t help, but I am finally getting saddened by the fact you are doing all this to prove you changed, whilst your house still does not seem to be in order.

Totally, mediate this and get it done, and dusted. You’ll save on legal fees……

They can’t afford it because all that blood money went up Bobby’s Nose in Executive Bonuses.

Which I like a lot more than this dumb game. :pouting_man:

Pride is on the line. Corporations love to think that they are above the law and nobody holds any power over them. So when the law comes crashing down, they get butthurt and try to fight it.

Most actually don’t when it comes to this because of they paid the fine the whole thing would be over and done with. The SEC would not have gotten involved, there would not be multiple groups fighting against them and it would be over.

Now they look like morons

The thing is… the people who is responsible for the fine who should pay for it has already left the company. Employees left are just trying to keep their jobs. Maybe you want to help them. Try to sponsor for them. Buy and support their new games.

Yeah but they way they are going all they are doing is upsetting people with their changes which will inevitably lead to less players.

They are not fixing the core problems with game play but putting lipstick on a pig.

That is not going to keep jobs in the end, but cost them since eventually people stop playing all together and those jobs are not needed.

They won’t because paying it would be an admission of guilt

Honestly I think it would be rather noble if they just came out and said they screwed up, owned it, and did their best to make it right

Trying to fight it and get away with paying as little as possible makes it seem like they don’t care that they were wrong, as long as it doesn’t cost them money

That last bit… maybe that was the plan all along.

It’s a 15+ Year old Game, it’s on old hardware, and someone at the top (Bobby has voiced his dislike of RTS games, as being “un-marketable”), decided to let go of this franchise, by letting it crash and burn in the worst possible way. and anyone still left working at Blizzard will suffer the same fate as Toys For Bob, being relegated as support staff for Call of Duty, Modern Warfare or some crap.

Blizzard: Hmm let me think about this.

That’s because they are.

Nah, if they reach a settlement at mediation they can have NDA regarding the terms and everybody walks away and then this, like most things, just fades into the memory hole.

Uh… firing multiple developers and removing all references to them in their games was already an admission of guilt.

If they could’ve just thrown money at it to make it go away I bet they would’ve by now.

But something tells me they just don’t have that kind of scratch on them…

Apparently you don’t understand the gravity of the Activision lawsuits. This situation for Blizz is 100’s of times more severe.

None of this is ever going away and in the end will cost 100’s of millions. You can’t stop what is in motion now.

Bobby wants to buy his 8th yacht this year from the sweat of his slaves. He can’t do that if he pays a fine and pays them a living wage.

Bobby is still there. Even if he wasn’t directly involved with the sexual harassment you can be 100% sure he’s been trying to cover it up.

Did you hear about the SEC lawsuit? They’re double doomed now, it’s too late the feds are on their a****s lol.

Yeah but not in the same way as accepting a fine for wrong doing

This way they can try to avoid the fine while also virtue signalling like crazy to try and convince everyone they’re not trash

Except they’re virtue signaling on the wrong eyes.

The judge won’t care what they’re doing in their game. They’ll care what they’re doing in their company.
