Pathfinder: Fixed or Fading?

Well you do need to give a zone enough time/space to be fun.

I remember that being a problem when I tried ff14. As soon as I started to like a zone it was over and I was back to boring cutscene land.

It’s hard to say how many people prefer BFA to TWW. I think people have become indifferent towards WoW after Shadowlands. And DF and TWW have both failed to reignite any passion for the game.

Yea, leveling alts was more popular than doing max level content as far as I could tell.

Nobody really cared about the end game until blizzard decided that’s what everybody cared about.

They should have kept ground mounts until max level and then you can unlock both at the same time with gold.

We were leveling alts because we already cleared the raid with our max level characters. End game content has always been a thing.

Yea end game content was always cheaply made/recycled content designed to placate the 1% of gamers with no life.

It makes sense. It’s like the battle tower in pokemon. Most people will stop after the main game, but a few addicts will grind the repetitive bonus content.

Modern games use NG+.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Aaaah, okay, you weren’t around back then and are only reiterating anecdotes you heard from players who heard them from other players.

All we are doing is sweeping the leg to finish off pathfinder and send it into the dustbin of history.

So we can turn the page from a dark, dark era of WoW.

yup…nothing more, nothing less.
PF needs to go.
Ion literally created this hateful environment for these self serving trolls to flourish in by making two classes of players in here…the forsaken and the blessed…

Yes the toxicity reached a fevered pitch during Dragonflight where they openly stated players that liked TBC normal flying as “bots” or doing other illegal activity.

Bad enough to be a disabled player that can not use DR but then to be dehumanized and called a bot is a new low.

And by letting that toxicity fester for 10 month on their own forum they did lasting damage to their image.

What is the point of a social contract if they are not going to enforce it?

They enforced it on my thread where people were rating how annoyed they are about Blizzard’s practices.

HAHA welcome to a strange, strange world we have entered.

:surfing_man: :surfing_woman:

to be expected from the trolls in this game.
Like the rest of that sort, they have no problem mocking, insulting and trying to humiliate others, but whimper when their behavior is called out by the adults in the room.

They need to toss the stupid contract entirely…its meaningless without enforcement.

WoD is one of the most hated expansions. WoD was also the expansion the dev team announced “no flying going forward” and there was such backlash of people unsubbing they changed that decision within 3 weeks.

A bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with the leveling.

Ironically the braindead morons on the forums 10 years ago simultaneously complained that flying was removed but also praised the leveling as fresh and innovative.

They didn’t praise the leveling because of no flying.

and you just know ion did NOT back down on getting rid of flight in 2015 because the man just has a big heart, lol.
No…he was quite convinced the base would be ok with it…TOTALLY OUT of touch with the majority of gamers.
He relented when he realized WoD was bombing and removing flight was going to tank the subs more than they needed to

And now, 10 years later, after flight in every expac since, including the introduction of a faster, all be it wilder, type of flying is introduced, TWW feels good because it does not feel grindy, at least to me. Took me 18 months to get Pathfinder in BfA, took me three days (8/22 - 8/25) to unlock it in TWW. Also, helps that none of us are already jaded after a year of the same content. Will this post age well? Probably not. Someone will link it a year from now when 3 people on the forum start complaining about how bored they are instead of getting out and finishing 40k+ achievement points. Tons to do in this game, and ironically, flying is a tiny portion of that. Maybe it really is time to either hang up PF, or stick the faster form of travel behind it and make up some Lore excuse like “The Dragons have never been here and the sky feels… different” (and yes, that was a quote from WoD)

They could have done that but the inconsistency is really what is driving these threads IMO. Truthfully they are desperate to try to dislodge the popularity of TBC normal flying but nothing works because TBC normal flying is a simple but elegant design.

I do love that Ion literally talks about accessibility in reference to Steady Flight. Pretty much sets in stone that hes keeping it around for that, if no other reason.
