lol i’m so broke, i have never broke 100k gold, and i’ve been playing since vanilla.
Good news! Blizzard has a handy-dandy alternative: THE WOW TOKEN. For the measly price of $20 cash, you can set yourself free from both poverty and the ground! Soar on the wings of prosperity into a glorious future!
Oh, and you’ll have to buy two tokens, because letting you buy just as much as in-game currency for your needs when they can make you spend more cash would just be silly, wouldn’t it?
If it’s such a crap and dying game why do you think removing Pathfinder saves it?
I was thinking more like 200k… which is funny because I remember how hard I worked just to get, I think it was 5000g? For “epic” flying back in the day.
I think having it cost so much would incentivise people toward pathfinder thus slightly increasing player retention and engagement with the content, while simultaneously creating a gold sink.
I see it as a win/win for devs and players alike.
I guess we are pretending that the game hasn’t been slowly dying since wrath, when they started trying to cater to nearly every player ask…
ive been avoiding buying the token. i buy the mounts, cosmetics, special packs and char boosts from the store, and always feel guilty spending the money on something so frivolous. so i’ve either done without ingame things that cost alot of gold, or farmed the gold, one old raid at a time lol
I used to spend quite a bit on extras, tokens and crap.
Figured supporting the company was a good thing and I have a fairly large expendable amount I can waste.
But after playing a while and seeing the crap Ion keeps pulling, I decided until he stops, they arent getting a dime from me beyond the expansion cost and monthly sub anymore.
Now ESO gets all the extra $$$ when i want to buy something cool I like
Pardon me for asking, you have an impairment or just find the speed and placement of glyphs uncomfortable?
Are you using the largest drake or one of the smaller ones? My go to has been the cliffside as it is a little easier for glyph hunting IMO. That being said it is the literal F-16 of Drakes.
When in doubt for speed and placement, Fly high. Use skyward ascent pointing up and then level out or dip your nose slightly to maintain your vigor generation. It is usually easier to come at them from above IMO.
On another note, I’m not sure if you can do the ride along with someone and have them fly through glyphs for you or not but that may be an option.
cliffside
well i’m nearly 70, have been in a full blown coma from an infection in the motor nerves of my brain, a cancer + chemo survivor, and have pretty grungy rheumatoid arthritis in my hands. so not much i can do, sadly. i still have decent recall, but mechanically, i’m a mess. lol
You’re a survivor. I can understand how this would be hard for you. Group with someone and have them backpack you through the glyphs if it works. When you complete pathfinder it’s back to the autopilot which will help you.
. Group with someone
thanks for the advice. id prefer ion was feeling generous and just turned it on for everbody. lol then i could go buy the heart of the aspect, since i didnt buy it originally and now it has a new model.
btw, i use cliffside. lol i like my mage hall disk. zooms into small places and provides good visual range.

Exact reason I use the cliffside. Better visual range and zip zam zooming.

but you know…according to some trolling sorts in this thread, youre just faking it and lazy.
lol
I get asked why I hate people so much. Just read the trolling posts in this thread and its very easy to understand
The speed buttons make it too fast for some to be able to do this. Thus the entire point of slower flying that has no speed boosts and no buttons.
You don’t need the speed buttons for casual slow flight, just the “Skyward Ascent” aka “UP” button. Tap it every once in a while and you can cover great distance without going fast. I typically take the flight point once i have it, and then fly from there in my slow-mode DR. Works fine. Sometimes I get the nose tip thing right and get some recharge, but most of the time I don’t and its not too necessary. An occassional park on the ground is no worse than afk on a flight path.
just the “Skyward Ascent”
Which also increases speed, jerks up the mount and changes the angle.
No matter how much you people want to try to justify that those with vision and neurological issues can do this… not all can. Because these disorders and disabilities work in very different ways.
I’m starting to get very tired of the ignorance here.
I guess we are pretending that the game hasn’t been slowly dying since wrath, when they started trying to cater to nearly every player ask…
Are we going to pretend all that long, slow dying has been stopped for a single second by the continued monkeying around with old flight?
Are we going to pretend that post-Mists expansions - where flight has not appeared until halfway or later through the expansion - must not have had big problems that contributed to the hemorrhaging of the playerbase in the months-long absence of flight?
I agree with you on one thing: Blizzard should stop listening to your stupid asks.
I’m starting to get very tired of the ignorance here.
At what point does it become obvious that its no longer ‘ignorance’ and its obviously petulance ?
Theyve had it explained to them FAR too many times for me to believe they are THAT ignorant of human disabilities.
Theyre in here trolling to get reactions…to get attention.
Everyone on this planet knows full well that some people have disabilities that affect how they interact with the world around them.
These trolling ones arent fooling anyone.
They want to insult others to build themselves up…for what reason, Im sure they know precisely within themselves
You’re not wrong. And that just solidifies my decision now to mute this thread. Because I really don’t need this type of negativity in my life.
Fight the good fight, sir!

I should have muted it myself by now. lol.

The simple fact is you can’t accept disagreement with your opinion; you can fly slow, for very long distances with DR. I do it all the time.
Pathfinder isn’t going away, so its either do without sky swimming, find some barely tolerable accommodation (slow DR), stick to ground mounts (use DR to hop impassible barriers when needed), or stop supporting and playing a game that is incompatible with your needs.
There are lots of games I can’t play for similar, motion puking reasons, but WoW’s camera motion has been kind to me. I don’t expect those other games, which look fun honestly, to change just to meet my requirements.
You can avoid looking at the jerk motion of the drake on “UP” by closing or averting your eyes for a few moments; not great, but it can get you there.
