Just wait till they come out with warfinding. No bgs in the expansion until you get the achievements.

Given how they have managed the release of normal flight in this expansion, I’d say we don’t have any way of knowing how it will be handled in the future.
My perspective is that pathfinder is work for anyone who wasn’t playing the game the way that had been predetermined - but unannounced in advance - to be a requirement.
Going back and grinding old content is not part of normal play.

Frankly anyone saying that Ion DOESNT know that this PF literally affects ONLY the few % who had a hard time with dragonriding is literally saying the man is too dumb to figure it out.
CLEARLY Ion is an intelligent human being to even have his position with this company…to even do the job he does.
It doesnt take more than average IQ to fully understand what I said above…

WE KNOW WHO is affected by this current incarnation of Pathfinder…PERIOD.
If I were the man, Id personally be quite offended if someone in here were insinuating that Im not smart enough to figure out who is and isnt affected the most by PF this time around.

Pathfinder is fine, as long as requirements are not outrageous. It’s better than gold, and it’s account wide. I still think they should add druid dragonriding mount form.

If they didn’t like the player base, why did they remove a majority of the old pathfinder requirements?
Why did they make renown optional until now? (and thats only IF you want flying)
Why did they make gearing astronomically easier?

Well, they definitely blew it this time around, lol.
Ion COULD have been the hero in this whole thing by just releasing flight about 7 -10 days after the rest of us had our dragonriding glyphs.
But as the normal MO, he chose instead to be the villain again.
That post you quoted wasnt really about future expansions. It was about the evidence we’ve seen as to how they seem to be making both forms of flight something akin to a toggle or like Chromie time where you turn it on and off…also like warmode being switched.

They said why they did it…‘parity’
they know most of us wont level in content we cant fly in if we have content we can.
They opened it up in WoD and Legion so those who didnt have the PF there could …would…level in those expansions too.

YEARS later. Wod and legion probably had the steepest pathfinder requirements.
Now, they are all but nonexistent.
My point was, that if they hated their players, why remove these steep requirements and make them almost passive?
I mean, you can feel how you want. But you’re definitely down the rabbit hole of confirmation bias with yourself.

I just told you why.
A while back they said it was decided for parity…so people can choose to level in WoD and Legion and have flight like we could fly in the other old expansions.
So you are agreeing with me that they don’t hate their players? I don’t understand the direction this is going?
Why not? Why does there need to be a restriction involved? Why can’t a new feature be added, instead of removing the feature it is intended to be a replacement in some ways?
Your description of “how to dragonride” shows you are claiming it is done exactly like normal flying, no difference in any way. And claiming that anyone whose impairments prevent them from using dragonriding EXACTLY THE SAME AS NORMAL FLIGHT has never been able to fly and is faking a disability to annoy you.
Is someone paying you to make blizzard look bad? Asking for a friend…

Youre trying to use their giving you flight in WoD and Legion as their not hating players…lmao…it had NOTHING to do with that…literally at all.
they knew Legion and WoD wouldnt be leveled in IF many players couldnt fly.

No I’m not? I said they removed current pathfinder (coming next patch) requirements to almost nothing.
I never said anything about previous xpacs other than that the requirements were tedious.
Old pathfinder requirements being things like exalted rep, 150 treasures, 25 rares… I think you get the point.

Actually, they never intended to put flight in wod. If you’re familiar with the terrain, there are lots of dead ends, switchbacks, and Mõbius land bridges that ate up a lot of players’ time while leveling, which also gave players little reason to go out in a world where there was hardly anything to do. They only returned flight when they were forced to by mass unsubs.
I think they were surprised by how players reacted to the news during wod upon hearing that flight was not returning. I think they figured players would get used to there being no flight if they read enough troll posts in the forum telling them flight was morally bad for them.
They really liked the idea of gating flight for a year with pathfinder, because it made players do more grinding, and they were stuck on the ground, which added travel time every time you went outside. Perhaps that was their goal from the start, and removal of flight was a way to get players to accept having to go without the most popular feature in the game and then needing to grind to earn it back.
Pathfinder was bad for the game. Lots of people burned out on it. And nobody started playing the game because they could grind and wait for an entire year to earn back travel convenience.
