Patchwerk Advice needed

We’re having serious problems on 25m with Patchwerk deleting properly geared tanks, can anyone give me some advice on what is going wrong to make this a major problem, we had an almost full prebis and def rating cap paladin getting one shotted

you can block hateful strikes so if you have someone with a shield like a pally he should be taking hatefuls over a dk.

It wouldn’t be an issue if we had RDF. I’m just saying it now.

MT is a prebis DK, offtanks eating hatefuls were both full or almost full prebis paladins, they were instantly dying

not sure then only thing i can think of is to make sure they are keeping up holy shield at all times

certain healers also have damage reduction. I believe disc priests are one of them

Do you have warcraft logs? Hard to give advice without logs. What your setup 3 tanks and 4/5 heals?

Without logs ill assume your properly geared tanks are probably eating a hateful after not being fully healed from the previous one. The mechanic works by seesawing your two hateful soakers health bars, when one eats a hateful, their health is low enough in relation to the second soaker and will not get hatefuled a second time in a row, but if the two tanks are both at half health and not getting healed, one of you is getting deleted. Talk to your healers and make proper assignments

I suggest two holy paladins using beacon on the MT and spam the two soakers with healing assignments.

Im not a log expert but holy shield uptime looks really low. 60% & 40% for the pally tanks. They should have it up close to 100% of the time cause they can take a hateful at any time if they catch a big heal.

Whoever is getting hatefuls needs to gear full armor and stam.

Hatefuls can’t crit or crush.

Its more a healing/threat issue than a tank gear issue.

  • Dps are dying from hatefuls 10s into the fight. This means your tanks weren’t top 3 on threat.
  • Hpallies with top healing done being flash of light
  • Healers are not properly assigned to tanks
    • Healers should generally only be assigned to keep the MT and a single OT alive in this fight. Random splash healing will keep the third tank topped enough to eat a random hateful. Our strategy was just put hpally beacon of lights on the MT and spam our #1 OT. Chainheal off the OT, and disc bubbles all 3 tanks.
  • One of your tanks has good gear but is gemming like a clown(this shouldn’t be costing you the kill though)
