Patch will render UDK DOA upon drop

Diseases and death coil are the primary damage of unholy and means of cleaving. If you take the sustained pressure away from a rot playstyle spec, you’re making it useless. The pressure will not be sufficient to eventually land kills. I can understand a 5 to maybe 10% nerf to diseases, but 15% with death coil too? Unholy as is, is not overperforming. In the AWC there was what 1 unholy with mesx? And they lost. Imagine after all these affliction nerfs coming they also nerfed UA, agony, corruption and shadowbolt. Please, can we take smaller steps for balancing? These giant swinging pendulum nerfs are very frustrating.

I am not entering arenas until this nerf gets balanced. All I can do in arenas is peel the enemies to help my second dps land a kill. This nerf was basically “All ability damage reduced by 15%”. I am sticking to bgs

I was expecting UH to get hit with the nerf bat, not a hammer. Was fun while it lasted but time to bench the DK for now. At least leveling and gearing for pvp is quick and easy enough.

I wonder if pet spec will see a rise with these nerfs.

Why does blizz always over nerf things when tuning.

Well, at least 2h frost will be fun once the db changes come. >_<

FoTM rerollers are what got DK nerfed this hard.

Feral is objectively the better class right now, hands down, but there play rate is at ~10% meanwhile UH DK is at 20%.

Wish blizzard was a little more intricate with the changes, the small changes like removing the 3rd wound pop or touching deathcoil one patch and frost fever the next were fine.

Meanwhile apoc mages are still giganerfed from DF tier set.

And the 4-piece sucks.
Maybe command build will be the way to go but I don’t expect them to revert after the death strike debacle in S1 dragonflight.

Will it be enough to swap from riders?

If FotM rerollers are flocking to a class / spec, it means its really powerful or overpowered.

I hate them balancing PvP against PvE. It has and always will be a Mistake. Can’t have both balanced at the same time. They should separate the class damages permanently, and be done w/ it, but that would require blizzard to invest more time and money, which is expecting to much at this point.

FotM rerollers were already leaving UHDK. They tried it, realized it wasn’t anywhere near as powerful as they’d initially thought, and moved on to something else.

In any case, a quick look at the ladders is more than enough to determine UHDK did not need this done to it.

Depends on playstyle preference.
It will be a full 45sec go build again with more sustain than current.

Dw frost rider will still be good, but I think the DB changes are going to make 2h frost really fun again.

Not for me then. I am assuming riders DW is the better sustain in PVP?

Unholy was doing way too much damage in PvP. Don’t be babies, unholy will still be perfectly fine.

Yes, dw rider will have more sustain imo.

Do you consider dot damage as a lot of damage? Your dots aren’t going to get you the kill. If a class has dot damage as his main dps source and you take that away from him there is pretty much nothing left.

Just like affliction warlock, lots of dots damage but was it OP? Nope, it wasn’t.

Affliction got the bat too unfortunately. The nerf was catered to low MMR players, which is why Fatback believes it was justified.

Unholy and affliction had huge burst AND huge dot damage. You got nerfed because the damage was simply too much. It’s not getting reverted, it was a very needed changed.

The dude certainly has done a good job of making us aware he has no rated experience whatsoever.

In any case, RIP aff. I’d been looking at leveling my warlock next, too. Affliction looked fun.
