We legit go from patch 1.13>2.5 overnight and I see no documentation regarding what happened. I know I can look up individually the notes from the past but its not the same. This is because we’ve gotten numerous systems changes all at once.
Examples being
you can now communicate with NPCs in cat/bear/ghost wolf form
thunderbluff buildings near bridges no longer dismounting you
combo points no longer reset when changing target
flight paths are more direct (less detours)
can now purchase higher lvl ammo from vendors
totem timers now default without a need for addon
Anyone else got things to add? Or does anyone know if blizz will consolidate a list at any point? More changes happened overnight than retail gets in years and 0 info.
yup, deadzone is killed off in TBC, most of these changes you can probably find with the old TBC patch notes, with the exception of the changes up to the version they are using
/dismount no longer needed for instant spell casting this is now automatic and not on the GCD.
Focus frames and macro are now part of the game UI
Arena targets are now part of the game UI
Player buffs now show up; detect magic is a pointless spell.
Player character in BG show up on map in raid rather than partly only, and are color coded.
Enemy cast bars and buff / debuff timers are part of the UI and are accurate!
CC in PvP has a maximum of 10 seconds duration in PvP and spells like sheep and sap no longer have heartbeat break.
Arena skirmishes are now available for all level brackets
New quests out in the old world following the 2.4.3 timeline.
Many NPC and dungeons have been reduced in difficulty level significantly and rewards buffed to accomplish the goal of gearing new characters in their quest to level 70.
Blind no longer requires blinding powder, instead rogues have resorted to using dirt. Blind no longer usable vs Blessing or protection or limited invulnerability potion; but can no longer be dispelled as it’s no longer a poison.
Backstab has been redesigned and now sucks; play hemo swords step; it’s better. (/sigh) or combat swords for PvE.
Hunters can drop traps while in combat; traps now have an arming time and do not trigger instantly.
Hunter flare now accurately displays its true range on anti-stealth AE.
Paladin consecrated ground effects spell damage coefficients buffed massively; see wiki for details.
Shadow step is god mode; yes you can step while rooted, this is intended.
CC like stuns no longer freeze character location such as mid jump, instead gravity continues to work even when in CC.
Blink once again gets hung up on literally anything, yes that level 1 gnat over there will bug blink. (No pun intended)
