Same here on Undermine character of 15 years not found.

Disabling addons or changing graphics settings doesn’t affect it for me, and all the allied races are greyed out on the character creation screen even though I unlocked most of the horde ones

Incredibly sad that nothing gets tested fully before release. Talk about wasting people’s time due to something that should have been due diligence.

I do have the issue also. I did not pre-order Shadowland yet. Does anyone that did pre-order have the issue, or it is a side effect to not owning the expansion ?

Having this issue over 2 hours now. Walked away for about 30 and still having it. Trying a scan and fix but I’m not hopeful.

Same here and when I go to make a new character, in spite of the allied races being greyed out, I get “Character creation timed out”

Yeah, that “update” did nothing. Still can’t find character.

Same for me, character not found on all of my characters regardless of server. Tried making a new one to check out the new island and character creation timed out.

Same issue (with both of my accounts).
The character select screen stays black for a bit, but does appear - but when I attempt to log in a character (after loading 70-90%) it gives the “Character not found” If I try and create a new character, it times out after I select Exile’s reach and hit finish.
I’ve tried the suggested fixes (other than uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game).

I purchased xpac. I can’t log on to any of my characters nor make new ones.
Another example of Soon™.
I got to spend my night trouble shooting problems. I love paying monthly to do what some people get paid to do.

Good news folks after logging in and out 30-40 times i am finally able to log on.

So I found disabling all addons, then exiting WoW, then reopening WoW fixed it for me.
