I’ve had this issue persisting for hours now and then occasionally will be let in for around 5min to have my server cluster crash(only one consistently crashing btw). Also my server is dead so why we weren’t merged is beyond me.
Update: Upon logging in and being prompted with ‘realm select’, I selected my realm (Zul’jin) despite no characters showing up, and let it sit on the black screen for about 10 minutes and my characters just appeared. Not sure if this will work for everyone, but just a heads up.
It works for me and I’m on zul’jin as well but when I attempt to log into the character they can’t be found… All 13 of them.

I find this intolerable. I’ve been getting “Character Not Found” on all my characters for hours now. Doesn’t seem like this should be an issue, but it is. They really dropped the ball releasing this.
I had the same issue, my characters are in bleeding hollow and once i logged in, it appeared as I had no character in any realm, what I did was manually enter the realm and my characters would appear, and after several attempts, the loading screen finally ended and i managed to enter the game. Hope this works for someone else!
No luck here. After getting in initially I crashed out and have had the ‘no character found’ since then.

Adding I too am getting no character found on all characters. Relogging and such does not fix it, been hours now.
1 hour ago, kept getting “character not found” when I tried to enter game. I could see my character, everything.
Just came back and now my toons are all GONE! Literally, GONE!
All my toons on every server are no longer showing up on any realm. It’s as if I just started playing with 0 characters and the game is asking me to pick a server.
Now I’m starting to get REALLY REALLY worried that I may have actually lost all my toons … like, for real lost them.

Go to the server your main is on and wait for it to load.
perhaps this may work for you as well
Now my characters don’t show on any server -including the servers they have been on for years- before it was ‘Character not found.’
we aren’t having issues with characters loading up we literally can’t log in as the load bar goes to 90% to time out saying “Character not found”
Have they moved yet into blaming our ISP or hardware or w/e? Or are we still in the ‘We’re looking into it’ phase?

I did this and yes, my characters are on that server … but now I’m still getting the “Character not found” message.
Have been getting this issue since launch of this patch. I’ve never seen a patch be this bad and I’ve been playing since March 2005.
After several tries, open and closing the game, it finally worked
I’ll keep trying. Thank you very much for your help and information.
Give it another hour… it’ll come I’m sure.
